Wisconsin Teen Charged with Murdering Parents in Alleged Plot to Assassinate President Trump

A 17-year-old from Wisconsin has been charged with murdering his mother and stepfather in what federal authorities say was part of a disturbing and deeply premeditated plan to assassinate President Donald Trump and overthrow the U.S. government.

Nikita Casap of Waukesha, Wisconsin, is accused of killing his mother, Tatiana Casap, and stepfather, Donald Mayer, in February 2025. According to a newly unsealed FBI affidavit, the murders were allegedly carried out to free Casap from parental control and secure financial resources to execute a politically motivated domestic terror plot.

Federal investigators discovered a manifesto in Casap’s possession that detailed a plan to assassinate President Trump and spark what he called a “political revolution.” The document, according to law enforcement, was laced with violent, extremist rhetoric—including praise for Adolf Hitler and declarations about saving the “white race.” The manifesto also referenced high-level government targets and included ideological references associated with white supremacist groups.

Authorities say Casap had links to the neo-Nazi organization known as “The Order of Nine Angles,” a group previously identified by U.S. and British counterterrorism officials as a transnational extremist threat. On Casap’s electronic devices, agents reportedly found communications with a Russian contact via the messaging app Telegram. In those messages, Casap discussed plans for a drone-based assassination attempt and expressed his intent to flee to Ukraine following the attack.

Investigators also uncovered materials and components allegedly intended to create a weapon of mass destruction. Among the items found were explosive precursors, a recently purchased drone, and instructions for using aerial devices for targeted attacks.

Casap has been charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, concealment of a corpse, theft, and identity fraud. Federal prosecutors are currently reviewing the case for possible charges related to terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, and conspiracy to assassinate a U.S. official.

The teen is being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled for arraignment on May 7.

Law enforcement officials emphasized the grave nature of the case, noting that this was not merely a disturbed youth acting out, but rather a cold and calculated attempt to carry out a political assassination and mass casualty event.

“This was a clear and present threat to national security,” one senior FBI official said. “The level of planning, ideological extremism, and intent to carry out violence against the President of the United States is unlike anything we’ve seen in recent years.”

The case is already sparking new debates about domestic extremism, online radicalization, and the increasing threat posed by fringe ideologies merging with real-world violence. Authorities credit swift coordination between local law enforcement and federal agencies for averting what could have been a catastrophic attack on the nation’s highest office.
