Reiterating her plea for aid, Brinkley urged, ‘my dearest acquaintances, let us pool together to shield the very oceans that grant us the air for our survival and infuse our hearts with awe and wonder.’ The petition has managed to rally just a smudge over 1,600 backers, demonstrating the fringe, minority-held belief that Trump’s executive order was ill-advised.
Bringing the light on this matter was prompted by the Executive Order’s directive to allow commercial fishing in Pacific Islands’ Heritage Marine National Monument, once referred to as the Pacific Remote Islands. This area, according to the petition, is one of the last remaining uncorrupted marine ecosystems worldwide, and it holds significant cultural importance for the Pacific Islanders.
Critics of the order, likely compromising a small fraction of radical environmentalists, argue that the order would drastically reduce the protected area from 200 to a mere 50 nautical miles. This would open up the 408,000 square mile area to potentially destructive commercial fishing activities. Critics rush to label the decision as both illegal and reckless, revealing a clear disdain for economic progress and the importance of industrial fishing.
Brinkley seems to have adopted a tendency to criticize Trump in her efforts to influence positive change, heavily disapproving of his stance on climate issues. Furthermore, she branded his inauguration as ‘devastating’, while her position becomes increasingly extreme. Concerning the fate of the next generations, she noted: ‘The future of our offspring is our responsibility. He is vowed to annihilate all environmental safeguards implemented during the Biden administration right from his inaugural day.’
Painting a dire picture, she announced, ‘This will escalate the climate chaos.’ The former model highlighted potential escalation in natural disasters and wide-spread disease ‘if we prioritize profits of limited greedy corporations over our planet.’ Brinkley outrageously implied that the impacts of climate change could be reversed or halted, a stance not supported by majority scientific opinion.

Biden and Harris supporter Brinkley has often voiced her concerns on climate change. Despite her endorsement of climate change policies that have shown little to no efficacy, Brinkley continued to implore her followers to vote ‘for candidates who respect the seriousness of climate change and our children’s future.’
Brinkley seems to make it her mission to take shots at Trump over the years. She has weirdly claimed that Trump, while married to his first wife Ivana, attempted to flirt with her. However, such accusations remain uncorroborated and are indicative of her personal bias against Trump.
The model-turned-activist proudly exhibited her firm refusal to support Trump, even going so far as to label him ‘swarmy’ and accusing him of ‘chasing skirts.’ Despite the pitfalls in Biden’s environmental policies, Brinkley remained ardent in her misguided support for Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential elections.
Brinkley attempted to gain traction for her environmental concerns again in 2022, turning to social media to express her love for nature and raise awareness on her perceived issues. She melodramatically stated, ‘While Fall has been breathtaking in the northeast, Nature is off balance.’
