Cruz to reintroduce bill labeling Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group after Boulder attack
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is planning to reintroduce a bill that would designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group after the Boulder, Colo., attack perpetrated by Mohamed Soliman.
“The Muslim Brotherhood uses political violence to achieve political ends and destabilize American allies, both within countries and across national boundaries. The Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood is Hamas, a terrorist group which on October 7th committed the largest one day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, and which included the murder and kidnapping of dozens of Americans,” Cruz said in a statement to The Hill.
“The Brotherhood used the Biden administration to consolidate and deepen their influence, but the Trump administration and Republican Congress can no longer afford to avoid the threat they pose to Americans and American national security,” he added.
The Muslim Brotherhood has been designated a terrorist organization in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The label was given after members were successfully elected to political positions of power prior to military rule in Egypt, where the group was founded.

Supreme Court Kills Mexico’s Lawsuit Against American Gun Makers
The Supreme Court unanimously rejected on Thursday the Mexican government’s lawsuit against American gun manufacturers.
The court held that Mexico’s 2021 lawsuit against seven U.S. gun manufacturers is barred under the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA).
“As required by a federal statute, Mexico seeks to show (among other things) that the defendant companies participated in the unlawful sale or marketing of firearms,” Justice Elena Kagan wrote in the court’s opinion. “More specifically, Mexico alleges that the companies aided and abetted unlawful sales routing guns to Mexican drug cartels. The question presented is whether Mexico’s complaint plausibly pleads that conduct. We conclude it does not.”

US Refuses Air Cover For European ‘Reassurance Force’ In Postwar Ukraine
The British and French-led effort to establish a ‘coalition of the willing’ to stand up to Russia and defend Ukraine just hit another major roadblock, as Bloomberg is reporting Wednesday the US has effectively vetoed a plan to provide American air defenses to back a “reassurance force” for postwar Ukraine.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been insisting that US-backed air defenses are key to any future permanent settlement plans for ending the war. Western proposals for ending the war have all featured foreign-backed and monitored security guarantees for Ukraine.
On this, Starmer had said back in February that “There must be a US backstop” and that the “US security guarantee is the only way to effectively deter Russia from attacking Ukraine again.”
After Western billions already sunk into keeping Ukraine’s military and civic infrastructure afloat, the UK and France are also seeking from President Trump pledges of future air power, and border surveillance and intelligence.
The Europeans also envision a strong, permanent security bulwark backed by the United States along NATO’s eastern flank.

Trump Admin Reportedly Pulls Plug On Key Rockets To Ukraine, Redirects Equipment To US Forces
The Pentagon is redirecting shipments of anti-drone technology initially meant for Ukraine to U.S. forces, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
The specialized anti-drone munitions, which were originally marked for Ukraine, will instead be sent to U.S. Air Force units in the Middle East, according to an internal memo from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth obtained by the WSJ. The administration has stressed the need for Europe to take on a larger share of the defense burden for Ukraine as the U.S. shifts focus to other theaters, most notably the Indo-Pacific.
