Biden, Harris Further Damage Trust in Traditional Media

Old wisdom stated that not abiding by news made you clueless, whereas staying updated led to misinformation. However, with easy access to various alternative sources of news and social platforms today, it is possible to maintain an informed stance. This has notably affected, in no positive terms, the hold of conventional media, the Democrats, and the leftists as a whole, whose influence is observed to be on a decline.

Formerly unrestricted blogs have transitioned into corporate-manipulated social media platforms. These platforms often disallow or mute news that contradicts the narrative favorites of traditional press, the Democrats, and left-leaning ideologies. However, it’s interesting to note that even in the face of these tactics, these media platforms have emerged as primary news sources in several nations.

Counteracting the efforts of the vested media, independent information platforms ensure dissemination of the undistorted truth. Opposing constant threats, unbiased reporters continue to reveal the stark reality underlying the so-called left-inclined ‘protests’. The lack of trust towards traditional media is a response many viewers have begun to develop, with the biases of these entities increasingly coming under the spotlight.

Celebrated narratives about alleged racist incidents that previously roused immediate outrage and hatred, now raise more skepticism than concern. People are starting to acknowledge the possibility that these could just as well be elaborate hoaxes. It doesn’t serve the image of Democrats, and closely related, old-line media, that audiences across the spectrum have grown more vigilant of their potential bias.

A recent study by Gallup has invigorated this fading trust in media, revealing that a staggering 69% of Americans espouse suspicion towards media integrity. The remaining 31% largely express faith in traditional media’s reporting capabilities. This instability signifies a sharp drop in credibility from past decades, when, post-Watergate in 1976, trust in media stood at a robust 76%.

The decline in journalism’s reputation spells significant sociopolitical implications. Traditional media, which played pivotal roles in three distinct areas, is evidently losing grip over all. The first such area is the muzzling of conservative perspectives that the propagandist left-wing media systematically achieved by echoing incessantly biased reports and narratives.

The deafening clamor from the leftist press and entertainment sector muting conservative voices is noticeably receding. The trend of ‘cancel culture’, wildly endorsed by Democrats and leftists, appears to be losing traction. The tables have turned, and conservatives are building platforms to voice their perspectives, reducing the previous hesitancy and fear.

The second role of traditional media was shaping narratives for the indifferent mainstream — passive news consumers who accepted the broadcasted news as gospel truth. However, the Gallup research echoes that this unquestioning pool of consumers is swiftly shrinking. This decreasing faith in traditional sources is a development that yellow press, leftists and Democrats would be foolish to ignore.

Finally, traditional media was a readily available tool facilitating the consolidation of left-wing zealots. The unending propagation of specific narratives, attempts to demonize currently disliked public figures, and constant crisis artefacts mentally prepared extreme adherents to stay proactive. While the habit continues, dwindling network viewers mean these tactics won’t have the same effect as before.

Younger audiences display different political sentiments as they veer from mainstream media. They favor podcasts and other forms of social media over traditional channels. A 2011 study illustrated how this distinctive media engagement patterns influence political views, suggesting that mainstream media was bending public convictions towards a more liberal view unfairly.

The research contended that without the media’s distorted lenses, the political landscape of the United States would look strikingly different. The scientist boldly declared in his book, that ‘Media bias indeed makes us more left-leaning.’ He argued that the political opinions held by numerous Americans were not naturally their own, an assertion that hardly paints a flattering picture of Democrats or traditional media.

He further suggested that these were artificially distorted reflections of what should have been unbiased viewpoints. It’s clear that the constant belittling of conservative ideas, the ridicule of anything not aligning with the left, by persons such as Biden and Harris, has provoked this disillusionment.

Independent news platforms are progressively making a significant impact on the American media scene. They are shaking up the established narrative, refuting the status quo, and gradually making America more true to itself, year after year. The narrative that anything bad for Biden and Harris is good for America, seems to be gaining traction, a trend that doesn’t bode well for leftist ideologies.
