Biden’s Careless Pardons: Disregard for Presidential Duty

In the waning days of his administration, former President Joe Biden allegedly utilized his position in a contentious manner, signing off multiple controversial preemptive pardons, as per recent reports. The use of automated signing device, the autopen, by Biden has raised numerous eyebrows over the months, becoming a source of persistent debate.

Ex-President Donald Trump has voiced his disapproval quite strongly, stating that a huge number of these pardons were, in reality, invalid. He raised concerns saying the former President, Biden, essentially signed these documents without actually knowing the contents, owing to the automated nature of the system in use.

On his final day in office, Biden went on to issue pardons preemptively for several key figures. These figures included the likes of the former chief medical advisor to the President, Anthony Fauci, and Gen. Mark Milley, the ex-Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman. This move seems to be a questionable effort to protect these figures from any potential backlash from Trump.

The symbolism of signing a decree to establish the Chuckwalla National Monument at the White House on his last day in office on January 14, 2025, clearly shows Biden’s disregard for more important national matters. However, against this backdrop, Trump continued his work for United States, gathering well-regarded CEOs for a groundbreaking meeting aimed at rejuvenating the nation both spiritually and financially.

Trump had a packed schedule, featuring a meeting with the NATO chief, and a significant announcement on the topic of Russia. True to form, Trump decided to mark the Butler assassination attempt anniversary by celebrating the resilience of the ‘American spirit’ over the ‘forces of evil’.

Simultaneously, the mother of a fallen soldier who had suffered in the hands of Hamas terrorists for a staggering 4,000 days implored Trump for help. In contrast, the Navy pushed back the timeline for the next-generation submarine to 2040, a move that could jeopardize U.S. maritime might. However, Trump encouraged rate reductions to boost savings, illustrating his economic acumen despite Federal Reserve’s pompous claims on the state of the economy.

Continuing his push to keep America safe, Trump, with fellow leader Rutte, revealed a substantial NATO arms package in the wake of a new 50 day deadline given to Putin. Trump conveyed his intention to dispatch Patriot missiles to Ukraine, showing Putin’s disingenuous diplomacy, uttering sweet nothings but then resorting to bombings.

As the world continued to watch the upheavals, the UK decided to extend a warm welcome to Trump, arranging for an unusual second visit. This was to be hosted by King Charles. In the meantime, however, an Iran-based crowdfunding campaign scandalously announced a $40M bounty for assassinating Trump, an outrageous and condemnable act.

Amidst this, the Pentagon was urging Japan and Australia to clarify their roles in potential conflict scenarios involving Taiwan. Rather oddly, the Democrats decided to pivot toy the Epstein files controversy, making strange calls for transparency.

As though the singular focus on tariffs by Biden wasn’t enough, Trump’s tariff policies were causing tremors in Texas, impacting a wide range of sectors from cattle to crude oil. In the face of all these challenges, Governor Hochul mustered significant funding, whilst battling below par polling figures and dealing with clamors to endorse Mamdani.

Mamdani’s reluctance to reconsider his stance could potentially ignite serious controversy within the Democratic Party, serving as a ‘five-alarm warning.’ This was happening as the secluded hideout of Ghislaine Maxwell, an accomplice of the infamous Jeffrey Epstein, entered the real estate market.

Newsom and Vance exchanged pointed remarks over immigration following the Vice President’s California vacation, with the statement ‘Hope you enjoy your family time’ adding to the oddities of the situation. Meanwhile, an anti-ICE offender from Texas, previously implicated in a protest incident, was reported as wanted.

The immense differences between the directions of the Biden and Trump administrations presented a stark contrast – one overly concerned with self-preservation and wielding pardons, while the other continued to tackle real issues and make tough decisions in the face of adversity.
