Ghislaine Maxwell Gave DOJ Info On 100 People Linked To Epstein, Her Lawyer Says

Ghislaine Maxwell has provided federal investigators with information on more than 100 individuals tied to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, her attorney revealed Friday — marking a significant development in the Trump administration’s aggressive effort to unearth the full scope of Epstein’s network.

“This was the first opportunity she’s ever been given to answer questions about what happened,” Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, told reporters following two days of meetings with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. “She answered every single question.”

Markus said Maxwell’s cooperation represents a major shift in the ongoing federal probe into Epstein’s child sex trafficking operation, which implicated numerous public figures and wealthy elites. However, he did not confirm whether any of the 100 names she provided are accused of criminal activity or are part of ongoing investigations.

The two-day interrogation at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tallahassee comes as the Department of Justice, under President Donald Trump, pushes to unseal previously hidden grand jury materials from the Epstein and Maxwell cases. A judge in Florida denied the DOJ’s most recent motion, citing jurisdictional limits, while a decision in New York remains pending.

Blanche confirmed the meetings in a post to X, saying, “The Department of Justice will share additional information about what we learned at the appropriate time.”

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in trafficking underage girls for Epstein, but has launched an appeal. Legal observers speculate that her willingness to speak now — after years of silence — may signal a bid for clemency from President Trump.

When asked Friday whether he would consider a pardon or commutation for Maxwell, Trump responded, “It’s something I haven’t thought about. I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about.”

Still, Maxwell’s lawyer floated the idea during a press conference, calling Trump “the ultimate dealmaker,” and said they hoped the president would “exercise that power in a right and just way.”

Reporters questioned Markus about Maxwell’s past perjury charges, but he pointed out that those charges were dropped after her 2021 conviction on sex trafficking charges. “The truth will come out about what happened with Mr. Epstein,” Markus said. “And she’s the person who’s answering those questions.”

The disclosure that Maxwell named 100 individuals could lead to a broader legal and political firestorm, particularly as pressure grows on the DOJ to disclose the full contents of the Epstein files. President Trump has repeatedly blasted the media and political elites for what he calls a “Democrat hoax” surrounding the Epstein narrative, while simultaneously pushing for full transparency.

Sources close to the DOJ told Real News Now that some of the names Maxwell provided are already being cross-referenced with sealed flight logs, financial records, and witness statements from other Epstein victims.

Meanwhile, House Republicans are pursuing a subpoena-backed investigation into the Epstein files, with Chairman James Comer pushing for a full congressional deposition of Maxwell on August 11.

With the DOJ, Congress, and the White House now aligned on exposing Epstein’s network, Maxwell’s sudden cooperation may signal that the floodgates are about to open. As one senior official put it: “This is just the beginning.”
