JT Lindsey, a freshman running back for LSU, faces temporary suspension from his team due to an ongoing investigation involving legal charges against him, as confirmed by his attorney in an announcement to The Advocate last Saturday.
The young player is caught up in a serious case involving implications as an accessory following a 2nd-degree murder. The charges leveled against him are primarily due to allegedly offering accommodations to a pair of suspects involved in a recent murder in the region of Alexandria, Louisiana.
Allegedly, the incidents involving the housing of the two suspects transpired within Lindsey’s dorm room towards the end of last month. The defendants are primarily suspected of exploiting Lindsey’s accomodation facilities for their refuge.
The situation came to a head when Lindsey turned himself into the authorities voluntarily last Friday, subsequent to an arrest warrant being issued by the LSU Police Department in his name.
Kris Perret, Lindsey’s legal counsel, has come forward stating his client was unaware of the wanted status of the two teenage suspects relative to the murder case or any other criminal activities. Reinforcing his client’s innocence, Perret insists that had Lindsey known about the charges against the two teens, he would have never allowed them refuge at his dormitory.

Jacobs and Jordan were implicated in the murder case and were consequently apprehended on Monday at the LSU’s Nicholson Gateway Apartments. Upon their arrest, new evidence surfaced that further implicated Lindsey in this crime.
During the apprehension of the alleged murderers, US Marshals discovered Lindsey’s personal identification in Jacobs’ possession. This discovery has further entangled Lindsey in the legal web surrounding the murder investigation.
