He passionately advocates for the principles which the United States originally fought for, stressing that a true revolution does not culminate in militarized streets.
He states that militarization of the nation’s streets is an alarming infringement on American liberties, arguing that it is diametrically opposed to our conception of freedom. He asks rhetorically whether the average American imagines their children going to school or themselves going to work in regions patrolled by the military. According to Khanna, this scenario is antithetical to our nation’s values.
Ro Khanna champions the ideals of the Democratic Party, highlighting its commitment to addressing economic divisions and remedying the wealth disparity prevalent in the nation. He insists these issues are a source of societal tension, an invisible rift restricting societal concord.
