A man with a criminal history, implicated in the tragic death of a couple from Queens, reportedly attempted a burglary at a Verizon store just weeks prior to the alleged dual murder. The intruder, however, was forced to abandon his plans after getting into a scuffle with a vigilant employee, who identified the robber’s weapon as being counterfeit.
In what would later tragically morph into a deadly spree, the same residence in Queens, where an elderly couple was later found brutally attacked and fatally wounded, was seemingly the launch pad for a flurry of illicit transactions using the couple’s stolen credit cards.
These ill-gotten gains made using the stolen credit cards became a trail of evidence, ultimately guiding law enforcement authorities to the suspect. The authorities were able to track this individual who was subsequently apprehended on Wednesday evening.
Crucially contributing to the arrest were live updates on his whereabouts and physical appearance. Strikingly, this person had only recently been integrated back into society, having been incarcerated for the previous 17 years.
