President Trump Supports Labeling Antifa as a Domestic Terrorist Organization

The current President, Donald Trump, has wholeheartedly endorsed the plan to label Antifa a domestic terrorist group, in light of increasing violence from left-leaning activists. This assertion came in response to a query by The Center Square during a briefing at the Oval Office earlier this week, asking if he would consider such a designation due to a surge of political violence events. This includes a recent violent act that took the life of a right-wing advocate, Charlie Kirk. ‘Without a doubt, I support this course of action for Antifa, which has become a severe problem. Similarly, I’m considering other groups as well,’ the president affirmed during the Oval Office function.

President Trump didn’t limit his classification to Antifa. He stated his intention to possibly designate additional organizations as domestic terror groups, although he refrained from specifying any by name. He expressed that his discussions with Attorney General Pam Bondi have included considering the viability of pressing federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) charges against some of these groups, along with their financial backers.

‘Indeed, there exist other groups which have quite radical ideologies, and they have been escaping justice for too long. Furthermore, I’ve been discussing with the Attorney General the possibility of utilizing RICO against some individuals who have been reported to contribute considerable sums of money to foster disorder,’ shared Trump.

In the President’s view, many of the actions carried out are not just protests but cross over into the realm of criminal behavior. He cited as examples instances where projectiles such as bricks have been thrown at vehicles belonging to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Border Patrol forces. This move was announced during a public occasion planned to declare an emergency related to increasing criminal incidents in Memphis, Tennessee.

Several important members of his administration, including the Attorney General Pam Bondi, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of War Pete Hegseth, and the Director of the FBI, Kash Patel, were in attendance. Amid the event, the President paused to request the consent of the group, especially that of the Attorney General, for his proposed plan. The Attorney General responded by nodding her approval.

Antifa, an abbreviation for ‘anti-fascist’, is a politically inclined group with left-wing ideologies that has found a foothold in many regions across the United States, with a concentrated presence in the Pacific Northwest. This group has been implicated in several violent protests, with incidents involving government buildings specifically among the occurrences attributed to them.
