Bibi Delivers Historic Knesset Address Thanking Trump: “No President Has Done More for Israel”

In a moment of profound gratitude and historic significance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a powerful speech before the Knesset on Monday to honor President Donald Trump’s unprecedented contributions to Israel — most recently in securing the release of the final hostages held by Hamas.

With Trump present in Jerusalem, Netanyahu called him “the greatest friend the State of Israel has ever had in the White House,” and listed milestone after milestone that Trump had achieved during both terms as President.

From the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, to relocating the U.S. Embassy, recognizing sovereignty over the Golan Heights, pulling out of the disastrous Iran deal, and brokering the Abraham Accords — Netanyahu said Trump had “moved the world” more decisively than any U.S. leader he had seen in decades. He added that Trump’s more recent peace plan for Israel and Gaza was “another turning point for the region,” alongside U.S. support for Israel’s military campaigns Operation Rising Lion and Operation Midnight Hammer.

“No American president has ever done more for Israel,” Netanyahu said. “And as I said in Washington — it ain’t even close.”

The prime minister spoke emotionally about the October 7 Hamas massacre, which claimed 1,200 lives, including dozens of Americans. He recalled the brutality of the attack and the heroic response of the Israel Defense Forces, saying their sacrifice would never be forgotten.

“Our enemies now understand just how powerful and just how determined Israel is,” Netanyahu said. “They understand that attacking Israel on October 7 was a catastrophic mistake.”

He then drew a sharp contrast between Trump’s leadership and the international pressure that had been mounting against Israel in the aftermath of the war.

“As diplomatic pressure grew, more governments gave in to anti-Semitic mobs and called on us to abandon the fight. But just at that point — at the most critical moment — Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States. And overnight, everything changed.”

The Israeli leader detailed how Trump’s re-election had restored strength and clarity in Israel’s fight against terrorism. “He moved faster than any president I’ve ever seen,” Netanyahu said. “The world took notice.”

Capping off the address, Netanyahu announced that his government would nominate Trump for the Israel Prize, the nation’s highest honor — a first for a non-Israeli.

“When others were weak, you were strong. When others abandoned us, you stood by our side,” he said directly to the 45th and 47th President of the United States. “Thank you for your extraordinary friendship. Thank you for helping bring our hostages home. Thank you for paving a path to peace.”

The speech ended with Netanyahu delivering the traditional Hebrew blessing of gratitude, prompting a resounding “Amen” from the Knesset chamber.

“May God bless you and your family, Mr. President. May God bless America. May God bless Israel. And may God bless the covenant between our two promised lands.”
