Iran has reportedly submitted a revised 14-point peace proposal through Pakistani mediators as President Trump intensifies pressure on the Islamic Republic and warns Tehran that time is rapidly running out.
According to Iranian state-linked media reports, the latest proposal focuses on negotiations aimed at ending the ongoing conflict while outlining what Tehran describes as potential “confidence-building measures” from the United States.
The developments came only hours after President Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on social media.
“For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving Fast, or there won’t be anything left of them,” President Trump wrote. “TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.”
Iranian outlet Tasnim News Agency, which is closely tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, claimed Tehran revised and resubmitted its proposal after reviewing a previous American counteroffer.
The report also alleged that the United States had shown openness to temporarily easing certain oil sanctions during negotiations, though no American officials have publicly confirmed that claim.
Negotiations between Washington and Tehran have reportedly centered around a broader framework designed to eventually produce a larger diplomatic agreement between the two countries.
President Trump’s negotiating team, led by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, has reportedly pushed Iran to halt uranium enrichment activities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for potential sanctions relief.
At the center of the dispute remains Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium. President Trump has repeatedly demanded that Tehran surrender what he has referred to as its “nuclear dust,” warning that the regime remains dangerously close to weapons-grade enrichment capability.
American officials have expressed particular alarm over Iran’s stockpile of 60% enriched uranium, which nuclear experts say is only a short technical step away from the 90% enrichment needed for nuclear weapons production.
Witkoff has publicly stated that experts informed him Iran’s current stockpile could potentially produce enough material for roughly 11 nuclear weapons if fully enriched.
Additional concerns have also been raised by top administration officials including Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who has warned about Iran’s growing reserves of 20% enriched uranium as well.
Despite the ongoing talks, Iran has reportedly refused to surrender its existing uranium stockpiles. Much of that material is believed to be hidden deep underground at facilities heavily damaged during recent U.S. bombing operations.
President Trump has previously confirmed that the United States continues monitoring those nuclear sites through satellite surveillance. Reports have also indicated the administration examined possible military operations involving American troops physically retrieving uranium stockpiles from underground facilities, though such missions were reportedly viewed as extremely risky.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged frustrations inside the administration regarding the slow pace of negotiations and internal divisions within the Iranian regime.
“We’ve given this regime in Iran every opportunity to reach one,” Rubio said during a recent television interview. “Part of the problem we’re having, frankly, is they’re divided internally within Iran.”
Rubio explained that American negotiators often wait days for responses because Iranian officials themselves must navigate competing factions inside their own government before presenting counterproposals.
“That’s been an impediment here,” Rubio said.
