All Hell Breaks Loose Live On GOP Debate Stage After Candidate Makes Comment About Haley’s Daughter

In February of this year, Former South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley announced she was running for president in an attempt to push former president Donald Trump out of the GOP nomination.

“The Washington establishment has failed us over and over and over again. It’s time for a new generation of leadership to rediscover fiscal responsibility, secure our border and strengthen our country, our pride and our purpose,” Haley said in her video announcement.

“Some look at our past as evidence that America’s founding principles are bad. They say the promise of freedom is just made up. Some think our ideas are not just wrong, but racist and evil. Nothing could be further from the truth,” she continued. “I have seen evil. In China they commit genocide. In Iran they murder their own people for challenging the government. And when a woman tells you about watching soldiers throw her baby into a fire it puts things into perspective. Even on our worst day, we are blessed to live in America.”

Haley went on, “Some people look at America and see vulnerability. The socialist left sees an opportunity to rewrite history. China and Russia are on the march. They all think we can be bullied, kicked around. You should know this about me: I don’t put up with bullies and when you kick back it hurts them more if you’re wearing heels.”

The “heels” remark would come back in hilarious fashion during last night’s Republican debate.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a wealthy entrepreneur, announced his run for president one week after Haley.

Ramaswamy announced his bid in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, which was fitting considering his business background.

“To put America first, we need to rediscover what America is. That’s why I am running for president. I am launching not only a political campaign but a cultural movement to create a new American Dream—one that is not only about money but about the unapologetic pursuit of excellence,” he wrote.

“We embrace secular religions like climatism, Covidism and gender ideology to satisfy our need for meaning, yet we can’t answer what it means to be an American,” Ramaswamy went on.

“The Republican Party’s top priority should be to fill this void with an inspiring national identity that dilutes the woke agenda to irrelevance,” he declared.

Announcing you are running for president is easy. Debating your conservative colleagues is the tough part.

A jab at Haley by Ramaswamy during Wednesday’s GOP debate on NBC turned heated. Ramaswamy was jeered by Haley’s supporters in the audience, but it didn’t seem to faze the outcome of the debate in the end.

Moderator Hugh Hewitt brought up the subject of TikTok, asking Ramaswamy if, despite his own use of the program, he would prohibit it in the US. He turned to face Haley, ignoring Hewitt’s inquiry, and brought up the fact that her daughter used the Chinese app, and saying, “So you might want to take care of your family first.”

Without delay, Haley retaliated, telling Ramaswamy to “Leave my daughter out of your voice.”

He continued speaking despite the jeers from Haley’s supporters, turning on them and claiming, “You have her supporters propping her up. It’s okay. This is the real deal.” But the comment infuriated Haley, who responded, “You’re just scum.”

Hewitt gave Haley an opportunity to address the “personal” attack after she responded with a drawn-out statement that might or might not have addressed Hewitt’s query. Rather, she made her own record on China clear.

Hewitt eventually interrupted Ramaswamy so they could go on, but not before he talked over the former governor of North Carolina and ambassador to the UN.

Collin Rugg of Trending Politics provided a bit of commentary on X when Haley’s team seemed to have hit back after the debate.

“NEW: Nikki Haley’s X account appears to have threatened Vivek Ramaswamy after he made fun of her and Ron Desantis for being “Dick Cheney 3 inch heels.”

The comment from Haley came after Vivek called her out for getting rich off of politics.

“You have the likes of Nikki Haley, who stepped down from her time at the UN, bankrupt or in debt was her family.”

“Then she becomes a military contractor. She joins the board of Boeing and is now a multi-millionaire.”

“Do you want a leader from a different generation who’s gonna put this country first or do you want Dick Cheney in three-inch heels?”

Shortly after the comment was made, Haley’s X account said high heels were ammunition.

“Vivek, I wear heels. They’re not for a fashion statement— they’re for ammunition.”

While support for Ramaswamy spiked in August, his numbers have been in decline while Haley’s number has slowly risen with her currently in 3rd place after Trump, and Florida governor Ron Desantis. A snap poll on Drudge Report, which used to be conservative-friendly, shows 45% of readers believe Haley came in first in the debate, with 24% believing Ramaswamy won the debate.
