One notable effect of the flood on the afflicted landscape is the condition of an existing wall within the creek. This wall had always posed some issues by directing the waterflow towards one side, causing periodic damage.
The fortitude of this wall in the face of the recent raging floods has taken Abboud by surprise. In previous years, parts of this wall had broken off, which were then cleaned by Abboud and others when the creek eventually dried up. Today, however, the structure remains astonishingly intact in the aftermath of the extreme floods.
