UFC President Dana White says the upcoming fight card planned for the White House grounds will be unlike anything the sport has ever seen.
Appearing on the Spinnin Backfist podcast, White confirmed that planning is already underway for what he described as a “one-of-one unique event” on the South Lawn, set to coincide with America’s 250th birthday next July 4. “We’re putting together the renderings,” White said. “They should be done in the next 10 days, and then we’re going to fly out to the White House and present it to [President Trump].”
White emphasized the magnitude of the event, promising, “I will blow the doors off this thing. I’m going to make this one of the greatest events of all time.” He went on to say, “It’ll be a full card, and it will be the best card we’ve ever done to date.”

President Trump first announced the event during a July 4 rally in Des Moines, Iowa, telling supporters, “We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there.” The president said the July 4 celebration would feature historic reenactments, military flyovers, and the highly anticipated UFC fight, drawing an expected crowd of up to 25,000 people.
Trump has had a long and close relationship with the UFC and Dana White. In 2019, he became the first sitting U.S. president to attend a UFC event at Madison Square Garden. Since then, Trump has made multiple appearances at major UFC fights, often receiving loud cheers and praise from fighters and fans. Former UFC star Jorge Masvidal once called Trump “the greatest president in the history of the world” during his retirement speech in 2023.
The White House fight card will be part of the larger America 250 celebration, marking a major milestone in U.S. history with events planned across national parks, battlefields, and historic landmarks. But if White’s plans deliver, all eyes will be on the lawn of the White House next Independence Day.
