A fearsome gang that had held Queens in its volatile grip has been efficiently dismantled, leading inhabitants of the local neighborhoods to a peaceful Labor Day weekend, devoid of any weaponry unrest, as disclosed by local law enforcement. A high number of recruits from the infamous Floss Money Ballers faction, which ignited a blaze of turmoil in several enclaves of Queens during their year-long territory disputes, were apprehended last week. Their detention was the result of a collaborative effort between the NYPD and the Queens District Attorneys Office, shared by key officials on Thursday.
“Indeed, Southeast Queens enjoyed relative tranquility with respect to violent street crime over the weekend,” law officials addressed the press. “The ensuing peace is directly linked to the crucial arrests and ensuing detention of these gang participants which has imparted a sense of safety on our streets. The apprehensions have catalyzed profound improvements in the security scenario of neighborhoods across Southeast Queens.” This infamous gang was a derivative of the Money World organization, which had been previously dismantled by law enforcement in 2023, and had been the nucleus of an upsurge in violent activity across Laurelton, Queens Village, Springfield Gardens, and Baisley Park over the course of a year, due to territorial disputes with the adversary Blitz Gang 4, as disclosed by the authorities.
Local law enforcement officials attributed the lion’s share of shootouts in the vicinity that had been taking place since the start of the previous year to this gang. “This crew was notorious for leveraging violence as their bargaining chip,” officials shared with the press. “South Jamaica had been the battleground for their relentless retaliatory aggression for over a year, where they took arms against their rivals from the Blitz Gang 4, escalating juvenile vendettas into fierce gunfights.”
Reportedly, in the aftermath of one such incident, a vehicle reported to be carrying members of the Floss Money Ballers was witnessed driving to a competitor’s residence, and allegedly riddled the dwelling with bullets as a reprisal tactic. Legal enforcement agencies also presented accusations that the gang had opened fire on a presumed competitor during Mother’s Day weekend while he was in the company of his elderly grandmother, and sprayed bullets on another rival’s dwelling in April.
During the execution of search warrants at the purported gang members’ residences throughout the investigation span, law enforcement personnel reportedly seized an excess of a dozen weaponry, one of which was an operational .40-caliber Glock carefully concealed in a couch cushion and discarded out the window. Prosecutors declared that of the total number of the accused, eight were apprehended just last week, while the rest were already serving time and are now slapped with charges, such as conspiracy, attempted homicide, and felony possession of weapons.
The accused gang members were identified by the authorities as Larry “LB” Spencer, aged 20; Julio Frias, aged 21; Jamari “Mari B” Spaulding, aged 18; Kaleo “Kah” Davis, aged 26; Kevin “KG’ Pettit-Dieu, aged 20; Jacob “Kap” Lam, aged 22; Malik “Speedy” Williams, aged 22; Jordan McFarlane, aged 22; Jackson Cross, aged 21; Tahnel “TB” Williams, aged 20; Kaimi “K Dot” Davis, aged 22; and Kevson “Kev Floxks” Hankey, aged 20. “The effectiveness of these gang coercion operations is evident in the subsequent reduction in violent episodes,” proclaimed law enforcement officials.
