Florida Pizza Delivery Driver Charged with Attempted Murder After Stabbing Pregnant Woman Over Tip Dispute

A pizza delivery driver in Kissimmee, Florida, has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a pregnant woman 14 times following a dispute over a $2 tip. The horrifying attack took place at the Riviera Motel, where the victim, her boyfriend, and her 5-year-old daughter were staying.

The Dispute

The incident began when Brianna Alvelo, 22, delivered a $33.10 pizza order to the victim. The woman paid with a $50 bill and requested change, but Alvelo reportedly claimed she had none. After searching for smaller bills, the victim tipped Alvelo $2. According to witnesses, Alvelo appeared displeased, rolling her eyes before leaving without speaking.

Later that night, Alvelo returned to the motel accompanied by a male accomplice. Both wore masks as they forced their way into the family’s room. The man brandished a firearm while Alvelo, armed with a knife, launched a brutal attack on the woman. In a desperate bid to protect her daughter, the victim sustained 14 stab wounds to her neck, torso, and back. The suspects fled, taking personal items from the room.

Victim’s Condition and Shocking Discovery

The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery for a punctured lung. During her treatment, she learned she was a few weeks pregnant. Thankfully, she and her unborn child are in stable condition.

Arrest and Investigation

Authorities quickly apprehended Alvelo, charging her with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. She is being held without bond at the Osceola County Jail. The male accomplice remains at large, and law enforcement is actively pursuing leads to identify and arrest him.

Community Outrage

The violent nature of the attack, reportedly over a minor tipping dispute, has left the community in shock. Local authorities have urged the public to come forward with any information about the incident or the male suspect.

“This was a senseless act of violence,” said a representative of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. “We are doing everything possible to ensure justice for the victim and her family.”

Looking Forward

This disturbing case underscores concerns about public safety and the unpredictability of disputes escalating into violence. As the investigation continues, community members have rallied around the victim and her family, offering support and condemning the act of brutality.

Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact Crimeline at (800) 423-8477 as the search for the accomplice continues.
