Vice President Kamala Harris acknowledged the substantial task at hand for herself and President Joe Biden in securing re-election, while expressing her assurance over the upcoming 2024 presidential race.
Harris delivered her statements in proximity to the White House subsequent to the favorable performance of Democratic candidates in various electoral contests nationwide, coinciding with the current unfavorable polling figures for the president and vice president.
“It was a good night. And the president and I obviously have a lot of work to do to earn our re-election. But I am confident we’re going to win,” she asserted.
In a recent interview on the television program “60 Minutes,” Harris expressed confidence in Biden’s re-election prospects when questioned about the close competition between the current president and former President Donald Trump.
During an interview with CBS, Bill Whitaker inquired about the reasons behind the tight polling numbers between Vice President Harris and President Biden in comparison to former President Trump, despite the latter’s continued legal challenges.
“The Biden-Harris ticket is running neck and neck with Donald Trump. Why are you not 30 points ahead?” Whitaker inquired.
Harris asserted that she does not identify as a political pundit, but emphasized that the decision will become evident when American citizens cast their votes on Election Day in the upcoming year.
“Bill, we’re going to win. Let me just tell you that. We’re going to win. I’m aware and I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. But we will win,” she answered, doing very well at attempting to believe what she was saying.
Whitaker, most likely sensing her BS, returned with a deserving shot, “You say that with such conviction,” in almost a sarcastic way. He couldn’t even look her in the eye, probably knowing she was just putting lipstick on a warthog.
Kamala continued the BS:
“I have no doubt, but I also have no doubt it’s going to be a lot of work. And everyone’s going to have to participate. This is a democracy. I look at it more as let’s keep getting out there. And, as with any election, we got to make our case to the American people. That’s part of our responsibility. And that’s this process. And that’s what it is. And that’s a fair process.”
Harris was queried over a CBS survey that indicated a decline in support for the president among younger voters.
“If you poll how young people feel about the climate and the warming of our planet, it polls as one of their top concerns. When we talk about what we are doing with student loan debt, polls very high. The challenge that we have as an administration is we got to let people know who brung it to them. That’s our challenge. But it is not that the work we are doing is not very, very popular with a lot of people,” she remarked.

During a subsequent interview, Harris garnered attention for her peculiar statement asserting that Biden remains “very much alive” and intends to pursue re-election.
Recent polling data reveals that Biden is experiencing a deficit compared to Trump in five crucial states where the election outcome is uncertain. This development has raised concerns and confusion among Democratic senators, as it presents a political obstacle for the party’s Senate candidates vying for positions in those areas.
The Democratic Party expresses apprehension regarding the diminished polling figures of President Biden and its potential implications on his viability as a candidate in the upcoming 2024 election. However, they assert that, barring any significant alterations in the prevailing circumstances, Biden is poised to secure the party’s nomination.
Nevertheless, it is acknowledged by critics that a significant number of voters express apprehension regarding Biden’s advanced age of 80 years.
Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) expressed a persistent apprehension with the concept of electability. “I hear immense praise for what he has done and how well he is doing on foreign policy and extremism at home. He’s doing everything right, is what I’m hearing. And yet there’s this lingering concern about electability,” Blumenthal said.
Blumenthal also emphasized that “The question about the polls concerns people.” He also acknowledged that Trump, aged 77, is not significantly younger than Biden.
Senate Democrats argue that in order to engage and mobilize young voters, President Biden should enhance and adopt a more robust and progressive political platform. In the demographic of voters aged 18 to 29, there is currently a near parity between him and Trump in terms of support.
According to a research by The Hill, in the year 2020, Joe Biden garnered 60% of the vote within this particular demographic, while Donald Trump received 36%.
Numerous Democratic legislators held the belief that with the issuance of state and federal indictments, the popularity of Trump among swing and independent voters would experience a significant decline.
According to a survey conducted by The New York Times and Siena College, it has been observed that Donald Trump has gained a higher level of support compared to Joe Biden in five states that were won by Biden during the 2020 presidential election. These states are Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada.
The poll’s findings have raised significant concerns among Democrats, as they indicate that a majority of registered voters, namely 62 percent, hold the belief that Biden does not possess the cognitive abilities necessary to fulfill the role of president. Additionally, a substantial 71 percent of respondents express the view that Biden’s age renders him unfit for the position.
