In the Service of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: A Glimpse into his Scandalous Private Life

The latest eyebrow-raising stories documenting Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ private life didn’t stem solely from former romantic partners; some reports are coming directly from the individuals who had a front-row seat: his personal aides. Collectively, they paint a picture of an intriguing, often scandalous life, from instances of drug procurement to alleged abuse of Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura. A number of these aides found the situations so extraordinary that their only option was to leave. This synopsis presents backgrounds of Combs’ past aides, with information drawn from the ongoing federal sexual misconduct case.

David James served as an assistant to Combs between 2007 and 2009. When applying for his position at Bad Boy Records, James recounted his role entailing shopping for drugs for Combs and his circle of friends. Surprisingly, James was prescribed to secure provisions like baby oil, lubricants, and condoms in preparation for journeys. Instructions were clear: pay only in cash to safeguard anonymity, with reassurances for reimbursement.

James found himself accused of theft on one occasion, suspected of pilfering Combs’ prized jewelry. This incident subjected him to the strain of a polygraph test. Additionally, he mentioned being tasked by Combs to locate rival Suge Knight’s vehicle on their trips to Los Angeles. While James attested to hearing heated arguments between Ventura and Combs over her career trajectory, he remained firm in his stance that he’d never observed any violent acts.

George Kaplan was another employee who clocked in an astounding 80 to 100 hours per week, shouldering a multitude of responsibilities. He was put in charge of Combs’ luggage, ensuring that his bags were appropriately stocked up, and handled significant cash reserves on behalf of the celebrity. Kaplan claimed that Combs often dangled the constant threat of job termination over him as a means to keep him in line.

Part of Kaplan’s job was to ensure each hotel room was ready with items such as baby oil, candles, and lubricants according to Combs’ requirements. His tasks also involved retrieving drugs for Combs and then picking up the aftermath from Combs’ hotel rooms. Through it all, Kaplan stood firm in his determination to protect Combs’ public image. However, he conceded that he had witnessed some shocking episodes involving Ventura, with such unnerving incidents ultimately being the catalyst for his departure.

Despite the difficult times, Kaplan described his work experience with Combs as thrilling, even going so far as to dub the celebrity as ‘a deity among men’. Capricorn Clark, another former Bad Boy Records employee, joined Combs’ team in 2004 and stayed on until 2018. From 2016 to 2018, she also served in the capacity of Ventura’s creative director.

Clark’s primary responsibilities included organizing Combs’ hotel rooms and procuring drugs for him. This demanding job took a toll on her health, driving her to sickness. She made allegations of Combs threatening her on several instances. Upon discovering Ventura’s liaison with rapper Kid Cudi, Clark claimed that Combs held her against her will. This episode precipitated her termination from the company. She noted witnessing several bouts of violence where Combs assaulted Ventura.

Recently, from 2021 to 2024, Jonathan Perez was an assistant to Combs. His account was distinctly less complex. He was entrusted with the task of buying drugs for Combs and ensuring Ventura was always ready for her encounters with Combs. From Perez’s viewpoint, Ventura showed no reluctance in partaking in these meetings. Perez insisted that these dealings were only a minor portion of his obligations to Combs.

In Perez’s testimony, he also made references to Kristina Khorram. Evidently, Khorram was widely seen as Combs’ ‘right-hand’ woman. She held a critical role in overseeing both Combs’ personal life and Ventura’s itineraries. It was evident from the charges that Khorram had been entangled in various incidents, which included instances of Combs’ purported violence towards Ventura.

Khorram was importantly instrumental in Jane’s relationship with Combs. Remarkably, her duties and responsibilities aligned closely with those of the other assistants working closely with Combs. However, the essential charges leveled against Khorram suggested her complicity in disguising Combs’ alleged offenses, an accusation she has staunchly repudiated.
