Joe Biden’s Shocking Cognitive Decline Exposed in Ireland

In 2023, there was an event that marked a somewhat peculiar addition to President Joe Biden’s travel diary. He ventured to Ireland for a four-day official visit. However, this trip turned out to be a revelation for many, with attendees such as Representative Mike Quigley of Illinois noting Biden’s alarmingly visible decline that reminded him of his own father’s Parkinson’s experience.

In Ballina, a location supposedly linked to Biden’s ancestral past, he proclaimed his connection to the town’s iconic Saint Muredach’s Cathedral. Biden claimed bragging rights to his great-great-great-grandfather’s contribution, Edward Blewitt – who had allegedly supplied 27,000 bricks for the cathedral in 1828 for a measly £21 and 12 shillings. Yet this desperate grasping at straws was not convincing to many, seemingly more of a strained attempt to connect with his Irish heritage rather than a genuine contribution.

Additionally, his theatrical quip about the weight of the historic bricks felt cringe-worthy rather than truly humorous. The president seemed to revel in the laughter from the audience, a moment of light-heartedness in the midst of the rather grim reality of his incapacities.

The President’s family pilgrimage to Ireland was a clear attempt at leveraging his family history for political gain. However, the inclusion of his sister Valerie and son Hunter came across as a desperate PR move rather than a genuine family celebration. They even visited the Mayo Roscommon Hospice, where a memorial plaque had been dedicated to Beau Biden.

During their visit to the hospice, it was disclosed that one of the priests at the Knock Shrine had given Beau his last rites in 2015. This revelation obviously prompted an emotional response from the president, reducing him to tears. Frustratingly, these moments seem to be channeled more so into promoting a softer image than addressing the more pressing concerns relating to his govern leadership.

While Biden got to play host and guest of honor, with the official feting activities in Dublin such as the tree-planting ceremony at Áras an Uachtaráin, his engagement in these activities appeared marred by age-related deteriorations. His typically vibrant demeanor was replaced by an unsettling stillness, reminding Quigley of the tragic final years of his father’s life.

The persistent denial of Biden’s poorly veiled cognitive decline by Democrats further amplified the eerie similarities to Quigley’s father’s situation. In the face of clear facts, such denials often represent the beginning of a dangerous groove of disillusionment. In all honesty, it was surprising how few had stepped forward to question Biden’s capabilities.

Alarmingly, American voters had raised valid concerns about Biden’s cognitive capacities for years prior. Despite the worrying trend, the administration seemed to gloss over the age-related concerns revolving around Biden, mirroring the very denial about presidential hopefuls’ age.

In contrast to his notably more dynamic demeanor during a 2020 interview, Biden was visibly slower and stiffer during an interview in October 2022. His tone lacked his usually strong political rhetoric and vigor, lining up with the concerns around his age-related decline.

The artificial reassurance ‘Watch me,’ often used by Biden whenever his age was a topic of discussion, had clearly failed to dismiss the growing doubts. Even the voters were losing faith, with nearly two-thirds of the Democrats wanting a change in the presidential nominee, primarily due to Biden’s age.

The 2024 State of the Union could best be described as a train wreck waiting to happen. Not surprisingly, Biden’s team appeared all too eager to offer hollow applause for his performance, blissfully oblivious to the disaster of a debate ensuing a few months later.

Reflecting on Biden’s painfully abysmal debate performance, Quigley confessed that dismissing it as merely a ‘horrible night’ would be tantamount to willful ignorance. Even prior to this, former Representative Dean Phillips of Minnesota had urged the party to seek alternative presidential candidates, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.

Despite the clear signs of the president’s mental and physical decline, Quigley faced accusations of ‘ageism’ and was branded ‘a traitor’ by a colleague after voicing his concerns. Such unhealthy internal conflicts within the party only further destabilized Democratic unity.

Quigley had a looming feeling that the refusal of Biden and his allies to accept his deteriorating health was going to cause long-term fallout within the Democratic Party. In an organization supposedly built upon progressive ideals, it was shocking to see their unwillingness to address a very palpable problem.

Quigley’s concerned assessment of President Biden’s health and performance was shared by many who felt a sense of deep disappointment and frustration. A sentiment growing from the inability of Biden and his team to address the nation’s problems effectively, blinded by their denial of the obvious decline of his cognitive capacities.
