The music circuit was saddened by the sudden death of the rising alternative music star wifiskeleton, as declared on May 5, 2025. The news was first shared on the gothangelz record label’s Discord platform.

Witchbox, a known collaborator and fellow artist of wifiskeleton, had first reported the tragedy. The announcement asked for the utmost respect during testing times, confirming the passing of wifiskeleton, found lifeless before the arrival of medical personnel and the police.

Yuke and Moon, two other associates of the deceased, also paid their condolences on the platform, strengthening the truth behind the tragic news. Wifiskeleton was a signed artist of the gothangelz label.

No official cause of death was announced initially. However, reports from wifiskeleton’s Wiki fandom page indicated the likelihood of a fatal drug overdose. According to some unverified sources, there was speculation that this overdose was more of a premeditated act, based on his disturbing public revelation.

Known among his friends and family as Jerimiah, the artist had announced on an Instagram Live session the night before his death that he was planning on overdosing, potentially ending his life that night.

Jerimiah was a multi-faceted talent born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, dabbling in various roles like a producer, guitarist, and a hip-hop recording artist. With his untimely demise, the music community has lost a promising icon. Fans and collaborators have been expressing their grief on his last Instagram post dated April 12, 2025.

In that last post, wifiskeleton had shared exciting news about the release of his upcoming project, ‘one trick pony.’ It was scheduled to be released on April 18, showcasing his recent work.

Born on July 24, 2003, the artist embraced music early in his life, initially releasing tracks using his alias ‘fuxkcy.’ He later adopted various pseudonyms, including ’67’, ‘star67,’ before finally becoming known as his big persona ‘wifiskeleton.’ He entered the limelight in 2020, creating magic by blending hip-hop, hyper-pop, and lo-fi.

Jerimiah was credited with pioneering the sigilkore genre, an experimental subgenre characterized by its dark atmospheric vibrations and abstract production. A large part of his music was inspired by his real-life experiences, shedding light on seemingly dark themes like heartbreak, depression, love, suicide, murder, and wrestling with existential crises.

Garnering a fan base of 38.9K on Instagram and 1.8 million monthly Spotify listeners, Jerimiah left a significant mark on the music industry. His major works include albums like ‘pony,’ ‘suburban daredevil,’ ‘lovefool,’ and singles such as ‘loser club,’ ‘party,’ ‘Nope your too late I already died.’

His signature styling included the incorporation of visuals inspired by online pop culture, emoji iconography, 3D skeleton graphics, and references from cartoons from the ‘90s and early 2010s. His fans also remembered him as Cyrus, an identity under which he released tracks on SoundCloud in addition to ‘skeleton archive.’

Besides his successful journey as a recording artist, he also had a regional influence on Atlanta’s underground music scene. His unique style-setting soundtracks sported a personalized text-to-speech tag, characterized by the voice named Kimberly.

His music used staple tags like ‘Better than Nirvana’ and ‘Totally better than Nirvana,’ in addition to the name referencing his record collective, ‘gothangelz.’ The tag was often humorously self-deprecating, seen in lines such as ‘You are so god*mn pathetic,’ ‘You creepy loser,’ and ‘You are a creep and a weirdo’ among other lyrics.

Just a couple of months before his death, wifiskeleton had posted links and promotional material for his upcoming performances in New York City and Los Angeles on Instagram. Slated to happen on May 28 and June 4, 2025, respectively, his devoted fans eagerly awaited his shows which were entitled ‘Come or Die.’

His demise has undoubtedly left the music world in shock and sorrow. His significant contributions to the music scene and resonating lyrics will forever be cherished by his avid fan base.
