Prominent online personality, Andrew Tate, has come under serious allegations wherein he is reported to have choked two women in the UK with such severity that they experienced internal bleeding in their eyes, resulting in the appearance of red spots. One of the victims has gone so far as to accuse him of not just rape, but also of physical assault involving a belt and threatening her with a firearm. This particular information forms the backbone of a civil lawsuit filed by four women from Britain against the ex-kickboxing champion, with the charges including rape, assault and manipulative control. Interestingly, each of these women have recounted Tate’s choking incidents, regardless of the nature of their encounters, whether forced or consensual.
The timeline of these claims can be traced back to a period when Tate was living in England and was laying the foundation for a business involving adult webcams, somewhere between 2013 and 2015. Andrew Tate, who is currently 38 years old, has dismissed all the accusations brought forth against him in this lawsuit, which was launched in the month of June of the previous year. The specifics of the claims made by these women against Tate had not been available in the public domain until now. One woman, who developed petechiae – a condition manifesting as red spots in the eyes due to burst capillaries from strangulation – argues that Tate consistently threatened her for almost the entirety of 2015.
The woman was gainfully employed in his webcam sex venture at the time of the repeated threats. Along with the alleged threats, she accused Andrew Tate of whipping her with a belt, physically overpowering and sexually assaulting her, and choking her regularly, especially if she challenged him or expressed something he disapproved of. Another woman, also a former employee of Tate’s enterprise, and who was involved in a consensual sexual relationship with him at the point, developed petechiae as well. She also testified that Tate would choke her on a routine basis.
In parallel, the legal procedures involving Andrew and his brother, Tristan Tate, have already witnessed a British court making the decision of seizing around $2.5 million from their UK-based bank accounts. Furthermore, the Tate brothers find themselves in the midst of another criminal investigation in Britain associated with allegations of rape and human trafficking which allegedly happened between 2012 and 2015. In Romania, the Tate brothers have been accused of offenses ranging from human trafficking and money laundering to sexual crimes.
The state of Florida has also initiated an investigation into the Tates that has been described to suggest ‘soliciting, trafficking, and preying upon women on a global scale.’ The brothers have recently journeyed to the Middle East while they roll with the punches of Romania’s ongoing criminal proceedings. The Tates spent a significant time under house arrest in Romania on accusations of enticing women to Romania with the intent of sexual exploitation. These charges have been active since their arrest in the year 2022.
As per the lawsuit in the UK, two out of the four women, unlike the first two, were not employed in Andrew Tate’s venture but had been in a romantic relationship with him. One of these women recalls an incident where Andrew Tate reportedly strangled her so forcefully that it rendered her unable to voice a single word. All the four women involved in the lawsuit are seeking legal damages for physical abuse, harmful assault, and intentional infliction of emotional harm.
The identities of these women have been kept confidential, as per the British law in sexual offense cases. This anonymity stands unless the victims themselves choose to make their identities known openly. The women provided that they were initially charmed by Andrew Tate’s manners and affable nature when they met him. However, they allege that over time his behavior took a dark turn, demonstrating controlling tendencies and persistent threats, to the point where he monitored their activities and also restricted their access to food.
