The Consumer Product Safety Commission is formally ending a review that it initiated during the Biden administration to assess the potential health risks posed by gas-powered stovetops.
In a statement to the Washington Free Beacon, Consumer Product Safety Commission acting chairman Peter Feldman said he considers the matter “concluded” and emphasized that the federal government should not interfere with consumer choice. Feldman’s comments effectively put an end to a years-long process that critics feared would lead to a broad ban on gas stoves.

This provision, highlighted by Senator Cynthia Lummis during a recent hearing, has drawn criticism from the Wyoming Republican, who argues that the Fed is unfairly limiting certain institutions’ access to banking services. The debate over “debanking”—the exclusion of individuals and businesses from the financial system—has gained traction, particularly within the cryptocurrency sector.
Addressing concerns raised by the Senate Banking Committee, Powell acknowledged growing reports of debanking incidents and expressed unease over the trend. “I too, am troubled by the quantity of these reports,” Powell stated in his testimony before the committee. He suggested that some banks might be erring on the side of caution, reluctant to engage with customers whose activities could raise compliance risks, particularly concerning anti-money laundering regulations. “One theory is that banks are just very risk averse,” he noted.
A section of the Fed manual states that reserve bank officials should evaluate the conduct of financial institutions and their leadership to determine whether affiliation with them presents “undue reputational risk.” It also asks whether an institution’s leadership is linked to “controversial commentary or activities.” However, the manual does not define what qualifies as “controversial commentary.”
During his testimony, Powell remarked that he and his colleagues were “struck” by the increasing number of cases in which individuals reported being excluded from the financial system. He assured lawmakers that the Fed was “determined to take a fresh look” at the matter.

Deep State Destruction: President Trump Cuts Funding To National Endowment for Democracy – “It’s Been a Bloodbath” 

 President Trump significantly cut funding to the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), essentially “starving” the organization. 

What’s happening at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is a very big deal, and has not been previously reported.

NED, a key U.S. instrument for supporting grassroots freedom movements around the world, is under siege from Elon Musk’s DOGE. An order from DOGE to the U.S. Treasury that blocked disbursement of NED funds has crippled the organization—which received $315 million for fiscal year 2025—and its affiliates, The Free Press has learned.

“It’s been a bloodbath,” one NED staffer said. “We have not been able to meet payroll and pay basic overhead expenses.”

NED’s dismantling would be far more than a cost-cutting measure. It would symbolize a major change in U.S. foreign policy, undercutting the notion that democratic ideals foster U.S. global strength and influence. Instead, the Trump administration would be signaling that it no longer believes that promoting democracy around the globe is in the national interest.

The National Endowment for Democracy is a “CIA cutout” according to former State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary and founder of Foundation for Freedom Online Mike Benz.  It was started in November 1983 and is funded directly by Congress.  Under the guise of “promoting democracy,” what once was consider covert actions have now become overt.   

 

In September 2023, NED welcomed to its Board of Directors former State Department official and the maestro behind the 2014 colour revolution in Ukraine known as the Maidan Revolution.  Nuland had previously worked under the Bush and Obama administrations, sitting out Trump’s first term, and then rejoining during the Biden ‘administration.’
During the Maidan, NED funded over 60 projects in Ukraine to ‘promote democracy,’ mostly civil society groups that were involved in the protests that eventually unconstitutionally overthrew Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.

The first three paragraphs:

A 71-year-old woman has died after her oxygen supply was cut off when the United States announced a freeze on aid funding.

Pe Kha Lau, a refugee from Myanmar living in a displacement camp in neighbouring Thailand, died four days after she was discharged from a USAID-funded healthcare facility operated by the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

She is thought to be one of the first people to have died as a direct result of Washington’s decision to freeze all funding for aid projects for 90 days.

The Telegraph had its story. There were photos of the woman’s 50-year-old daughter with her husband and child sitting on a bed. The child appears to be well under 10. The husband said when the mother-in-law would get short of breath, he would carry her to the IRC hospital. The 71-year-old would then recover. He said they are poor, and cannot afford “oxygen.”
The article has a photo of the daughter holding her smartphone. On the smartphone is a photograph from her mother’s funeral. Yes, she has a smartphone.
One might ask, why is America funding Myanmar refugee camps in Thailand? Why isn’t the Thai government, or a host of other Asian countries, spending their money on refugee camps in their own backyard? Why did this woman need oxygen in the first place? And why, of all things, did the IRC suddenly cut off the “oxygen supply” within a few days of Trump taking office? I have a dozen more questions.

 The Telegraph had a narrative to sell. That narrative is simple.
“Trump killed an old woman.”
