Netflix’s comedic series ‘Nobody Wants This’ has two popular faces arriving for its second season – Seth Rogen and Kate Berlant. While the detailed roles they will be enacting haven’t been disclosed yet, these Hollywood mainstays will join an already established cast that includes Adam Brody and Kristen Bell. Other cast members include Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola, Shiloh Berman, and Justine Lupe.

Adding prestige to the second installment, additional guest stars like Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, and Arian Moayed will also join the cast. Rogen’s participation in the ‘Nobody Wants This’ cast was announced shortly after a victorious moment for his Apple TV+ production, ‘The Studio’, which won several Emmys.

‘The Studio’, whose comedy found favor in the viewers’ eyes, also received the award for the best comedy series. And it wasn’t a minor achievement – ‘The Studio’ set a record for being the comedy program with the highest number of wins in a single year. Characters in the series are yet to be revealed, but with such an ensemble, the audience should expect a grand feast.

Seth Rogen, a person of many talents, is also part of an exciting project at Disney+. He is working on the executive creation of a special event around ‘The Muppet Show’, commemorating its 50th anniversary. Slated for a 2026 launch, this event should bring a wave of nostalgia for longtime fans of the classic puppet show.

Rogen’s portfolio is quite diverse, encompassing roles in notable projects like ‘Pineapple Express’, ‘Superbad’, and ‘Knocked Up’. He also worked on ‘The Fabelmans’. These projects helped shape his career in comedy, leading up to his most recent success with ‘The Studio’, further confirming his prominence in this genre.

Kate Berlant, an acclaimed comedian, writer, and actress, brings her own stardom to the second season of ‘Nobody Wants This’. She recently unveiled a standup special titled ‘Cinnamon in the Wind’ in 2022. Apart from this, Berlant starred alongside John Early in the comedy sketch special ‘Would It Kill You to Laugh?’, showcasing her versatile comedic talent.

Berlant isn’t new to the acting scene either. She has been part of a range of shows including ‘The Bear’, ‘The Other Two’, ‘A League of Their Own’, and ‘Search Party’. She has even made her mark in the film industry, with credits in films such as ‘Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood’, ‘Sorry to Bother You’, and ‘Don’t Worry Darling’.

The much-anticipated season 2 of ‘Nobody Wants This’ is set to premiere on October 23rd. The upcoming season promises to evolve the romantic storyline of its characters Joanne, played by Bell, and Noah, played by Brody.

As per the official synopsis, this new season showcases the couple striving to blend their lives and loved ones despite persisting differences. Their love was strong enough to overpower previous hurdles, now they have to not only sustain their love but also work on the disparities between them.

The brainchild of Erin Foster, ‘Nobody Wants This’ also boasts a talented team of executive producers. Foster herself, along with Kristen Bell, serve as executive producers. They are joined by others including Bruce Eric Kaplan and Jenni Konner, who also play the part of showrunners.

Producers Steven Levitan, Sara Foster, Danielle Stokdyk, and Jeff Morton are also part of this team. With Nora Silver, and Oly Obst for 3 Arts adding their expertise, they make a strong crew that ensures the quality and success of the series.

Finally, the show finds its home under the banner of 20th Television, the production studio responsible for bringing this comedy to audiences. The addition of Rogen and Berlant, alongside the other cast and guest stars, ensures an intriguing and delightful second season.
