Silent Saga: Biden’s Associates Stonewall House’s Probe into His Tenure

A recent string of events has unveiled an alarming pattern of uncooperativeness and opacity within the circle of associates surrounding former President Joe Biden. The House’s probe into Biden’s wellbeing during his presidential tenure has been met with a stonewall of refusals, with a third key figure pleading the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination in just over a week.

Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, U.S. Representative James Comer of Kentucky, aired concerns regarding the defiance shown by these individuals. On Friday, he reported that Annie Tomasini, a former presidential assistant and deputy director of Oval Office Operations under Biden, had pled the fifth during her deposition about Biden’s suspected “cognitive decline”.

In a statement from Comer’s office, Tomasini’s refusal to speak, along with those of other witnesses close to Biden, was seen as an attempt to avoid criminal liability. Clearly, something doesn’t sit right in the narrative that these individuals are attempting to spin with their silence. This consistent evasiveness casts aspersions on the operations within the Biden administration.

A notable element of Tomasini’s deposition came when she was questioned about her alleged role in covering up Biden’s mental decline, including potential mishandling of classified materials. It’s disturbing to think what these questions imply about the inner workings of the Biden administration.

Incredibly, Tomasini, when asked if she ever had been told to deceive regarding Biden’s health by the former president himself, a member of his family, or anyone linked to the administration, opted for silence. Similarly, on questioning about her role in the disposal of classified documents found in Biden’s possession or her involvement in attempts to conceal information about the Biden family’s commercial activities, she again resorted to the fifth amendment.

Adding to this unnerving saga of evasiveness are Anthony Bernal, former first lady Jill Biden’s chief of staff, and Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s personal physician. Both chose the same route as Tomasini, invoking the fifth amendment during the ongoing investigation aimed at uncovering the possible ‘cover-up’ of Biden’s ‘mental decline.’

The fate of the investigation rests heavily on these witnesses, but the wall of silence and refusals deepens suspicions about the former presidency. In June, the House committee affirmed the expansion of its inquiry into this alleged cover-up. Clearly, these concerns are not baseless, and there seems to be more to the Biden administration’s actions than meets the eye.

Interestingly, the book ‘Original Sin’ by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson has added fuel to the probe. It quotes a claim stating that ‘Five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board.’ This makes one wonder about the real dynamics of the White House and the power balance during Biden’s presidency.

Another disconcerting aspect of the Biden administration that has come under scrutiny is the possibility of an autopen’s misuse. This device has traditionally been used to sign numerous response letters to American citizens

President Donald Trump, among others, has raised concerns about the use of the autopen. Not only is the device’s use antiquated, but it hardly seems ethically proper as the source of government authority comes directly from the president’s signatures.

Broaching the topic of the autopen, Trump stressed the importance of a presidential signature, citing it as the chief way the nation is governed. A machine carrying out this important symbol of authority, then, would be questionable at best.

Trump believes the autopen should only be used for mass correspondence, not official documents. He has expressed particular concern about its possible use to sign executive actions, including executive orders, clemency grants, pardons, and presidential memoranda.

If an autopen was used to sign these critical documents under Biden’s presidency, then who ordered it and why? These questions are yet unanswered and add another disturbing layer to the emerging narrative of the Biden administration’s clandestine maneuverings.

The shocking revelations from this investigation and the accompanying silence bear serious implications for the Biden administration’s credibility. Indeed, the entire scenario leaves one questioning the legitimacy and transparency of their operations during their time at the helm.
