Despite already being subject to a gag order in the case, former President Donald Trump took a jab at New York Attorney General Letitia James over the fraud trial that is currently underway and shared a link to her home address.
During his Tuesday court appearance for the ongoing fraud trial, Trump occasionally used the occasion to vent to reporters about the case and the gag order that Federal District Judge Tanya Chutkan imposed in a different case on Monday. In addition, Judge Arthur Engoron imposed a restrictive gag order in the fraud case.
However, it didn’t stop Trump from launching further assaults into the night, such as this one on Truth Social that included a little something extra:
Her Fake Case against me should be dropped immediately! My Financial Statements are extremely conservative, and her numbers were way off, including the fact that she undervalued Mar-a-Lago and Doral by Billions of Dollars. She also didn’t reveal the 100% Disclaimer Clause at the front of the Financial Statements, and that she sued me under a Statute that was never used before. MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE AND ELECTION INTERFERENCE ALL WRAPPED UP IN ONE!
The tweet had a link to a slander article written by white nationalist Laura Loomer, which included documents with Attorney General James’ home address on them. The post on Loomer substack is linked to.
Judge Engoron’s gag order, which forbids Trump from disparaging the court’s employees, was sparked by a previous Trump Truth Social post in which the businessman criticized the judge’s lead law clerk. Trump subsequently took down the offensive article.
“Consider this statement an order prohibiting any parties from posting, emailing, or speaking publicly about any members of my staff,” Engoron stated in court. There will be severe consequences if this is broken.
