President Donald Trump has ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement to dramatically ramp up operations in major Democrat-controlled cities, launching what he described as the largest mass deportation initiative in American history.
The directive targets sanctuary cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia—urban centers Trump accused of harboring illegal immigrants, enabling welfare fraud, and undermining election security. “We are expanding efforts to detain and deport illegal aliens in America’s largest cities,” he said in a statement. “These cities are lawless, and we’re bringing law back.”
The move comes amid ongoing unrest in Los Angeles, where ICE facilities were attacked and federal agents faced organized resistance. Following the deployment of over 2,000 National Guard troops to restore order, the administration is now shifting to offensive action—sending ICE into the heart of liberal strongholds to detain and deport individuals with outstanding removal orders.
