Providing a consistent, efficient energy source, nuclear power holds the ability to eliminate energy blackouts entirely. Moreover, modern nuclear technology has considerably improved safety measures, reducing the risks associated with its use.
The notion of the alleged orchestration of Gov. Newsom to block the scheduled closing of the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant raises another point of discussion. While it may seem questionable on the surface, one must question their judgment: why not use the plant, upgrade it, and harness the energy that thousands of Californians can benefit from?
