Jenny McCarthy Says She Will Never Return To ‘The View’

Jenny McCarthy made it crystal clear this week that she has no plans to ever return to The View, not even for a reunion. The 53-year-old former co-host said her one-season stint on the daytime talk show was anything but a good fit — and she’s done trying to force it.

Speaking on The Katie Miller Podcast, McCarthy revealed that the producers originally brought her on to lighten things up. “The reason why they wanted to bring me on [originally] is because they, quote, said it was too polarizing. They thought it was too polarizing back then, you guys,” she said. But that plan didn’t last.

“Well, that lasted a week,” McCarthy said. “After a week, when they said they wanted to get political, I was like, ‘Oh my God, what am I going to do?’”

She recalled being completely out of her element when the show shifted topics to international crises and government policy. “They’re like, ‘Today we’re going to be discussing the hostage situation and whether the United States government should pay the ransom or not.’ And I was like, ‘What?’”

At the time, McCarthy wasn’t interested in politics and didn’t see herself as someone who should be weighing in on such issues. “I just know who won Dancing with the Stars,” she joked.

Now, McCarthy says she’s more politically aware — and the Trump administration helped push that shift. “I am much more political in terms of having opinions now,” she said. “Our latest administration has helped so much.”

But that doesn’t mean she wants to rejoin the world of The View. “They’ve asked me to come back for, like, reunion shows,” McCarthy said. “I was like, over my dead body would I ever step foot in that place.”

She also took a swipe at Hollywood for being out of touch with the rest of America, saying the industry “gets everything wrong about real America.” She pointed to Bill Maher as one of the few willing to challenge the “woke bubble” that many celebrities live in.

McCarthy, an open supporter of the MAHA movement and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has long been critical of vaccine mandates and overreach from government institutions. And while she said there are “more conservatives than you would know hiding out in Hollywood,” she made it clear she’s not hiding her views anymore.

Jenny McCarthy isn’t playing the Hollywood game — and she’s not going back to The View, no matter how many times they ask.
