As he was booed on Friday after leaving a pilates class while on vacation in Lake Tahoe, President Joe Biden remarked that Donald Trump’s mug shot revealed a “handsome guy.”
When questioned about the former president’s booking photo, Biden responded, “Handsome guy, wonderful guy,” chuckling and mentioning that he had seen it on television.
Biden stopped to chat with reporters while exercising on Wednesday at Pelodog Pilates and Cycle class with some family members.
While the president was leaving the fitness center, the majority of the onlookers booed him, despite an attempt by a small group of supporters to cheer him on. Although he didn’t say anything to the hecklers, Biden glanced over at them.
The president just finished a week-long vacation at the pricey lake retreat. Daughter Ashley, granddaughter Finnegan, and grandson Hunter Jr. joined him in his workout.
The billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer’s $18 million mansion is where he is currently residing with his family, including his son Hunter. This is because there have been allegations that the rental may not comply with the county’s housing law.
Along with Jill Biden, Melissa Cohen, Hunter’s wife, and their son Beau, they are all traveling to Lake Tahoe. Peter Neal, the spouse of Naomi Biden, also joined the family.
“I don’t remember them speaking to any of the issues. There was a lot of talk. But what are they going to do to deal with economic growth? What are they going to do to deal with the notion that maintaining the job pace that we have now? What are they going to do to deal with education?,” he said.
Trump skipped the debate despite leading the polls for the Republican nomination to face Biden in 2024.
On Thursday, the former president was detained in Atlanta on suspicion of plotting to void Biden’s Georgia victory in the 2020 presidential election.
According to Trump, he was simply exercising his first amendment rights to discuss the election results.
It was his fourth arrest of the year, but when he had previously been before police in New York City, Miami, and Washington, DC, no booking photo was taken.
He described taking his arrest photo as “not a comfortable feeling,” he told Fox News, “especially when you’ve done nothing wrong.”
Trump has shared memes of his arrest photo, which was regularly made fun of online as it gained popularity.
Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson, which aired in opposition to the GOP debate, was not seen by President Biden.
He admitted, “I didn’t have an interest or an inclination.”
Trump made fun of Biden’s ‘skinny legs’ in the interview, referring to images taken while the president was visiting Rehoboth Beach.
“I think he’s worse mentally than he is physically and physically. He’s not exactly a triathlete, or any kind of athlete,” Trump told Carlson.
“You look at him who can’t walk through the helicopter he walks he can’t lift his feet out of the grass, you know, it’s only two inches at the White House.”
In addition, Biden stated in his speech on Friday that he would approach Congress to request additional money for COVID vaccinations in light of the rise in cases and the new dominant XBB strains.
The president declared that a second booster dose would probably be advised.
“Tentatively, not decided finally, tentatively it is recommended – it is likely to be recommended – that everybody get it,” he said.
President Biden attended a pilates and spin class on Wednesday at the same gym as Jill Biden, the first lady, and other members of his family.
After his workout, he had a banana blueberry smoothie.
