Ford Pleads for Government Aid to Sell EVs Nobody Wants
The UK government is being pushed by the Ford Motor Co. to mandate consumer incentives to push drivers into electric vehicles (EVs) as an industry backlash grows over imposed sales targets and the marketplace flatly rejecting the product.
Lisa Brankin, Ford UK’s chair and managing director, told the BBC that without induced demand, a government mandate to produce and sell more EVs “just doesn’t work” and consumers must be forced to bend to government edicts.

Federal court backs Texas plan to install razor wire on border wall
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced Wednesday that a federal court of appeals has ruled in Texas’s favor to build razor wire on the border wall.
Abbott said the razor wire is meant to deter illegal entry from migrants into Texas.
Abbott’s tweet said the federal court ruling stated that President Biden was wrong in cutting the razor wire.

Member of Rothschild Family Reportedly Dies in a House Fire in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles
A man reportedly identified as a member of the world-famous Rothschild banking dynasty has tragically died in a house fire in the elite Hollywood Hills neighborhood.
According to reports from ABC News, the fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at a two-story luxury home in the 8500 block of Lookout Mountain Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department dispatched 45 firefighters to the scene, who managed to extinguish the inferno in just over half an hour.
Tragically, they discovered a dead man inside the residence.

Rumble has brought suit against California over what they call the state’s “war against political speech.” Rumble states that this is nothing short of “censorship plain and simple,” Rumble says Califorinia is forcing the platform to change its own speech and that of its users.The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed the lawsuit Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California, Sacramento Division. The lawsuit is a direct challenge to California’s assault on free speech through laws that punish political opinion that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) likes to call protection against the “harmful use of deepfakes in political ads and other content.”
California’s AB 2655, the “Defending Democracy from Deepfake Deception Act of 2024,” goes so far, the suit states, as to “deputize” Rumble to restrain or limit the free speech of those using the platform, the ADF said in a statement. AB 2839, “Protecting Democracy Against Election Disinformation and Deepfakes,” is aimed at limiting what social media participants can say about elections. The ADF has also represented the Babylon Bee in a lawsuit over the right to print and share political parody.
