U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert was dragged out of a theatrical production of the “Beetlejuice” musical in downtown Denver on Sunday evening. Venue managers accused her of engaging in vaping, singing, recording, and causing a disruption during the play.
According to an incident report disclosed to The Denver Post on Tuesday afternoon, authorities from Denver Arts & Venues stated that two individuals were instructed to depart from the Buell Theatre, which is owned by the city, while attending a touring Broadway production. According to the report, a warning was given to them at the intermission due to their behavior, which had resulted in three complaints from fellow theater attendees.
The report refrains from explicitly mentioning Boebert as one of the individuals involved in the patronage, nor does it disclose the identity of the other individual. However, the campaign office of Boebert, although refuting the reported conduct, acknowledged that she was accompanied out of the Buell theater on Sunday evening during the performance of “Beetlejuice.”
According to the incident report, security officers were alerted to a disturbance approximately five minutes into the second act following an intermission warning. Subsequently, another complaint was made regarding the disruptive behavior of several spectators who were observed engaging in loud conversations and recording activities. Photography or videography is strictly prohibited during performances.
According to the report, one of the ushers stated “They told me they would not leave. I told them that they need to leave the theater and if they do not, they will be trespassing. The patrons said they would not leave. I told them I would (be) going to get Denver Police. They said go get them.”
Boebert is seeking re-election for the third time.
According to Drew Sexton, the campaign manager for Boebert, The Post was informed that the congresswoman refuted engaging in vaping during the broadcast. The individual employed her mobile device to get an image of the performance, without prior knowledge that photography was prohibited.
In a formal statement, Sexton said “I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ‘Beetlejuice.’ ”
According to Sexton, Boebert urges individuals to attend the play due to its “fantastic cast, tremendous visuals and plenty of loud laughs,” although she warns, “with a gentle reminder to leave their phones outside of the venue.”
On Tuesday evening, Denver Arts & Venues publicly disclosed security footage depicting the encounters between Boebert and theater personnel during their removal from the premises.
According to the report, subsequent to being taken out of the premises and upon reaching the entryway of the building, the two individuals exhibited resistance towards vacating the area. They made statements such as “stuff like ‘do you know who I am,’ ‘I am on the board’ (and) ‘I will be contacting the mayor.’”
According to the complaint, law enforcement officers arrived at the Buell establishment and remained there within the lobby until Boebert and her associate departed.

Although the issue on Sunday was settled without significant difficulty, Boebert had before encountered difficulties. She had been subject to arrest and summons on no less than four occasions in the year preceding her successful bid for a seat in the United States Congress in the year 2020.
During the initial month of her tenure, Boebert, recognized for her staunch advocacy of the Second Amendment, purportedly made an endeavor to traverse recently implemented metal detectors, resulting in an audible alarm being triggered. Subsequently, she declined to surrender her suitcase to the Capitol Police, resulting in their denial of her entry into the House chambers, as reported by journalists present at the location.
During the previous summer, the family attracted significant media attention when the spouse allegedly issued threats towards their neighbors, as characterized by the Garfield County sheriff as a disturbance within the local community. There were no instances of apprehension or detainment. In the month of May, Boebert made a public declaration regarding the dissolution of her marital union with her spouse.
In July, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives has approved an amendment proposed by Boebert to shield homeowners from “socialist Biden policies.”
According to a news statement from her office, “Today, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s amendment requiring the Government Accountability Office to publish a report on its website exposing the costs and process associated with the Biden administration’s socialist housing policies passed the House by voice vote with unanimous bipartisan consent. Boebert’s amendment will help protect homeowners from Biden’s disastrous scheme to raise fees for people with higher credit scores to subsidize those with lower credit scores.”
