As former President Donald Trump continued his fight over questionable voting in the 2020 election, it became clear that the war was on with those who take exception to Trump’s efforts to “drain the swamp.”
Threats against Trump and other factors in the political war had some younger Trump family members pulling away from the public eye, and the former president replaced those family members with others in his circle.
Not much was made in the past of the younger Trump’s social circle of friends, but it seems now that they are not at the forefront of Trump’s public events, the media is calling them out for being anywhere.
Recently Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, attended a birthday party for one of her longtime friends and became fodder for notice just because she attended that event.

Kim Kardashian’s 43rd birthday bash was packed to the brim with A-listers, from her reality star sisters (except for expecting Kourtney Kardashian) to Lauren Sanchez. And while a lot of the stars in attendance were ones you’d typically expect, there’s one many were shocked was in attendance.
Hint: they’re one of Donald Trump’s kids.
Give up? It was Ivanka Trump!
In case you missed it, Ivanka was seen leaving Funke restaurant on the night of Oct 20 in a sparkling two-piece look, along with matching cream Christian Louboutin shoes.
And while she was leaving, she was asked a question that many have been wondering: Is she afraid of testifying during her father Donald’s ongoing trial?
Per DailyMail, when she was asked this, she ignored the question and continued walking to her car. While Donald has been going through numerous trials, the Trump Card author has mostly stayed out of the public eye.
Obviously the gossip posters haven’t noticed that Ivanka has been out of the public eye for some time, and focusing on her family. It is not surprising that Ivanka would not comment on as the event was a birthday party for a friend, a social event, not a political one.
Ivanka has been friends with Kim for years, and they have been both seen out together and photographed together during the past.
SheKnows noted that per Hello, insiders told numerous outlets that “Kim and Ivanka have been friends for years; she’s someone Kim respects; even when they’ve been on different sides politically, they’ve never let that affect their friendship.”
Ivanka was to be called as a witness in New York Attorney Leticia James’ case against former President Donald Trumpas she previously served as an executive vice-president of the Trump Organization. Hers was one of 28 names submitted in September to be called in the case.
Ivanka was previously listed by James as one of the defendents in the case.
This past Thursday night, she asked the court to “throw out the New York Attorney General’s subpoena for her to take the stand after she was previously dismissed form the case,” Forbes reported.
Forbes noted:
“An appeals court dismissed Ivanka Trump from the case in June, ruling the claims against her in the lawsuit, from before she left the Trump Organization in early 2017, were barred by the statute of limitations.”
But James is still trying to get her to testify at the trial, issusing subpoenas to multiple corporate entities associated with the ex-president’s daughter, Forbes states.
Ivankas attorneys are arguing that she is not relevant to the case. their argument is connected to the fact that a summary judgement previously issued by Judge Arthur Engoron narrowed the scope of what would be determined at the trial, thus eliminating Ivanka from being a part. `
James is not giving up, however. An email stated that the attorney general’s office would file a motion Friday to compel Ivanka’s appearance.
Her attorneys answered, “The [attorney general’s office], which never deposed Ms. Trump, is effeectively trying to force her back into this case from which she was dismissed by a unanimous decision of the Appellate Division, First Department.”
Ivanka’s attorney Bennet Moskowitz also stated that the subpoenas should be thrown out since they were not properly served, and because the AG lacks jurisdiction to force Ivanka Trump, who is no longer a New York resident, to testify.
The filing states in regart to that, ” The NYAG knows this, which is why it has subpoenaed three corporate entities as an end-run around its failure to pursue Ms. Trump’s deposition when it had the chance.”
A hearing will be held next week on the matter.
It seems the efforts to force Ivanka to testify are as desparate as the attempts to tie her father to nefarious activity have been.
The former president’s sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are expected to tesitiy during the proceedings of the trial, which is expected to continue through mid-December. both sons are listed by james as defendents in the ongoing case. `
