Among Hunter Biden’s many controversial situations is the matter of the child he has fathered with Lunden Roberts. Roberts lives in Arkansas and filed a paternity case against Hunter Biden in May 2019.
The child is not only the 4-year-old daughter of Hunter Biden but also the granddaughter of President Joe Biden. The Bidens have been blatantly reticent about the child, not including her when they mention their other grandchildren. The press has repeatedly questioned this omission but has been given no answers.
Lunden and Hunter have been fighting in Arkansas courts for over four years, culminating in a November 2019 verdict that, despite his denials, Hunter was the father of the child, confirmed by a DNA test.
The Biden grandchildren have heretofore been referred to as “six grandchildren,” but now the White House has finally spoken about the child, Navy Joan Roberts, and acknowleged that she is indeed a member of their family.
In a statement to People magazine, President Biden has now addressed the matter:
“Both Hunter, our son, and Lunden, the mother of Navy, are striving to develop a relationship that puts their daughter’s best interests first,” declared the president.
“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter,” the president said.
“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” President Biden’s statement continues. “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
Reportedly, an unnamed source told People that the freshly settled child support issue between Hunter and Lunden has been the reason for the omission of the child in references to the Biden family.
“You have to remember there were some fairly contentious legal proceedings between Navy’s parents happening until just a few weeks ago. As grandparents, the Bidens are following Hunter’s lead,” the source says, adding, “They are — and have been — giving Hunter and Lunden the space and time to figure things out.”
Speaking to People, the source gave as an excuse for the lack of reference to the child that the situation is a familial matter, not a political one.
“Thousands of families have faced similar circumstances, working it out in private, versus the spotlight,” the source says. “At the center is a 4-year-old girl and everyone wants what is best for her, including all of her grandparents.”
“A lot has thankfully been sorted out, and Navy’s parents are working on a way forward that’s best for her,” the source added.
In January 2020, Hunter consented to pay an unspecified amount in child support to Lunden, which included retroactive payments dating back to November 2018. However, in April 2021, she filed a “motion for contempt,” alleging that Hunter had withheld evidence and disregarded previous court rulings throughout their paternity dispute. This contempt motion echoed a previous filing made by Roberts before the January 2020 settlement, where she argued that Hunter should be held in contempt for disregarding various court orders. She also asked that he be obligated to pay her legal fees, which was part of the recent filing as well.
The details of the child support case are confidential, but a settlement has reportedly been reached and CNN reports thtat the child will receive both financial support and some of Hunter’s artworks. An earlier request by Lunden to change Navy’s last name to “Biden” has been dropped, the court document describes.
Even though the child has not been given the last name of her paternal family, eyes are on the fmaily to see how accepted Navy will be by the Bidens. In 2022 the president remarked during a podcast of his other grandchildren, ““They’re crazy about me and I’m crazy about them,” and added, “Every single day, I contact every one of my grandchildren.”
Hopefully Joe Biden will now remember that he does indeed have seven grandchildren, and call Navy as well. but as his forgetfullness reaches new heights, we can’t be sure he will remember her.
On Friday, Biden had to be reminded to sign an executive order after delivering a speech in Maine. Although the purpose of his trip was to sign the order, Biden was seen ready to leave the podium only to return seconds later to sign the executive order.
In the video clip, Biden is seen joking about the oversight, “I’m coming back to shake a hand but I forgot I didn’t sign the order. All that talk and no action.”
Biden instructed to come back on stage after he forgot to sign his own executive order.

The press has been pushing White House press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for some time to explain the lask of Biden press conferences, leading to the speculation that Biden is intentionally being hidden from the press as he is not able to handle public speaking and answering questions.
Red State reported that even though members of the press insisted that Biden appear before them, they were put off by Jean-Pierre.
