Get this, if Georgia is going to sentence former President Donald Trump to prison for say, asking his supporters to watch a TV program, GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham declared that former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff might also be heading to the big house for a thousand years.
Now, Graham is surely exaggerating a little, OK, a lot, but recall how vainglorious Schiff was as he screamed constantly about the Trump-Russia hoax, it throws the utter absurdity of the Trump allegations into clear focus.
The problem at hand is that the recent indictment doesn’t simply accuse Trump of a crime related to his alleged request for Georgia’s Secretary of State to uncover enough election fraud to reverse Joe Biden’s narrow lead after the initial vote count in November 2020.
Rather, Trump and the other 18 are accused on larger reasons of daring to question the outcome at all — and some of their actions which the prosecutors believe are criminal skirts on being completely ludicrous.
According to The Washington Post, the prosecution is utilizing Trump’s tweets as proof of his involvement in racketeering.
“I spoke to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger yesterday about Fulton County and voter fraud in Georgia,” Trump tweeted on Jan. 3, 2021. “He was unwilling, or unable, to answer questions such as the ‘ballots under table’ scam, ballot destruction, out of state ‘voters’, dead voters, and more. He has no clue!”
A second of Trump’s tweets that allegedly incriminates him is merely asking people to watch a TV show.
“Some of the tweets were less aggressive. The indictment pointed to a Dec. 3, 2020, tweet in which Trump wrote ‘Georgia hearings now on @OANN. Amazing!’ which was described as ‘an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy,’” WaPo noted.

Yeah, they got Trump for sure. Yeah, right.
According to Graham’s tweet, if that is considered evidence for an indictment, Schiff could be in serious trouble.
“Remember the Russian hoax and the Mueller investigation?” Graham posted on Wednesday.
“Donald Trump is being charged with a criminal act for telling people to watch a network show about the election,” Graham remarked. “If that becomes a crime Adam Schiff will be in jail for 1,000 years!”
“How many times did Schiff go on MSNBC and CNN and tell us Donald Trump was a Russian agent?” he questioned incredulously.

“This is very dangerous what they are doing to our country,” he warned. “It’s a terrible double standard.”
In a tweet that followed soon after, he pointed out that the hypocrisy also applied to another individual who is denying election results, Stacey Abrams, who lost in the Georgia gubernatorial race multiple times, although she may not see it that way.
“President Trump is being prosecuted in a way to make challenging an election a crime. Democrat Stacey Abrams said it best – it’s hard to concede an election when you think you were cheated,” the Senator proclaimed.
“Well, here’s the current standard: If you are a Democrat and you claim you were cheated, nothing happens. If a Republican does it, they try to put you in jail!”

It is worth noting that Schiff has lost his House Intelligence Committee position in the 118th Congress. Despite this, he has appeared on various television shows to complain about the perceived injustice.
At the same time, Abrams is under investigation for her management of funds intended for voter outreach, including discrepancies in taxes at her organization.
It is important to note that neither individual is being charged for their falsehoods, which were amplified by various television networks.
For instance, Schiff repeatedly claimed that former President Trump was a pawn of the Kremlin, despite knowing this to be untrue.
Of course, Abrams persisted in promoting the idea that she had won the 2018 Georgia governor’s race, even as she became the Democratic nominee for the 2022 election. However, she lost so decisively in that election that she did not attempt to claim victory.
It is important to note that although their lies may be harmful and foolish, under our criminal laws, both individuals in question are protected by their right to free speech and should not face charges.
It is reasonable to question the actions of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis as she tries to link a tweet by Donald Trump encouraging people to watch the Georgia election integrity hearings to a racketeering conspiracy. In light of this, it is worth considering if every falsehood that Adam Schiff has promoted on television since Trump’s election should result in him serving a lengthy prison sentence.
On Thursday, Trump posted on Truth Social that he and his lawyers had decided against the press conference where he would lay out why the Georgia results were flawed.
“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta. Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!”
