Navy Serviceman Faces Action for Unwarranted Biden Medical Records Access

A Navy serviceman found himself cornered by disciplinary action earlier this year for his unsuccessful attempts to access the highly classified medical records of President Biden, as confirmed by a military source on Tuesday. Commander Tim Hawkins, a Navy spokesperson, clarified that the incident occurred on February 23 and the implicated serviceman was a member of the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command at Fort Belvoir in Northern Virginia. The sailor, whose identity was kept under the wraps by the Navy, reportedly made multiple attempts to search ‘Joseph Biden’ in a military health system electronic database over the course of several hours, owing to ‘curiosity’. Both CBS News and ABC News were the first to report this disciplinary action.

Much to Biden’s discomfort, his declining health and diminishing mental acuity, especially highlighted by his poor showing at the June 27 debate, have undercut his political stance. Triggering a wave of apprehension among Democrats, many are now openly expressing their desire for him to withdraw from his re-election bid. Reports indicate that it was in fact a colleague of the Navy serviceman who initially flagged this potential breach of medical privacy laws. A thorough investigation undertaken by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service reached its conclusion on April 24, shared Commander Hawkins.

Commander Hawkins, in an official email communication, reassured that ‘The record the sailor accessed was independent of the electronic document pertaining to the president of the United States.’ Seeking to dispel fears of a potential leak, he added ‘At no point was the president’s personal information exposed.’ The Navy, however, chose to maintain silence over the specifics of the disciplinary action taken.

When queries about this incident were forwarded to the Biden campaign, they were redirected to the White House. Unsurprisingly, the White House spokesperson did not make themselves available for immediate commentary on Tuesday. Particular secrecy surrounds the health records of both Biden, 81, and former President Donald J. Trump, with neither candidate granting the public a transparent look into their medical histories.

The Biden administration, in recent times, is being continuously scrutinized over the undisclosed visits of a Parkinson’s disease specialist from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Kevin Cannard, the neurologist in question, has reportedly been visiting the White House almost monthly for the past eight months, extending from last summer to this spring. Remarkably, at least one of these visits included a meeting with Mr. Biden’s physician.

These frequent visits by Dr. Cannard have been traced back through detailed White House visitor logs, raising eyebrows and ushering in fresh waves of speculation regarding Biden’s health. Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the White House physician who seldom reveals insights about the President’s health, commented on Monday night that the annual checkups of Mr. Biden include a consultation session with Dr. Cannard, which has raised more questions.

Despite these packed meetings and the increasing murmur about Biden’s health conditions, Dr. O’Connor attempted to quench the brewing concerns by stating that the most recent checkups did not indicate any signs of Parkinson’s disease. But given the surrounding secrecy and lack of transparency, it’s hard to put too much stock in these assertions.
