Recently Fired Fox News Host Shocks With Spot On ‘The View’

After being fired by Fox News at the end of June after working there for two decades, Geraldo Rivera will make a comeback this week.

He announced on Twitter that he will be joining the ladies of ABC’s “The View” on Thursday. The former resident liberal on “The Five” and “Hannity” will join them.

Rivera tweeted on Monday afternoon, “Delighted to do @TheView Thursday. Wonder what they’ll ask me about.”

Some of the 80-year-old’s fans said that the announcement was not particularly surprising and that he would fit in well on the infamously far-left show.

That’s where you belong.

You’ll fit right in…you should be permanent.

Perfect forum for you, as there’s absolutely NO credibility there.

On June 30, a Friday, Rivera made his final appearance on Fox News.

After a farewell appearance on “Fox & Friends,” he took his final seat at the table on “The Five” later that day.

Following disagreements with network anchor Greg Gutfeld both online and allegedly behind the scenes, Rivera left Fox News.

After being fired by the network, the former anchor of a daytime talk show infuriated many Fox News viewers when he attacked former prime-time star Tucker Carlson online.

I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt-as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was “bullshit.”

Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process.

Carlson and Gutfeld engaged in a Twitter conversation after Carlson’s firing was announced in a tweet.

You’re a class act Geraldo. A real man of the people. https://t.co/20LOwVzXwS

Thank you @GregGutfeld for your kind remarks https://t.co/MQFoVmWFm7

After a week, he declared that his appearances on “The Five” had been “canceled.”

My appearances today and tomorrow on The Five have been canceled. I’m sure there’s a good reason. Never fear, I’ll be back week after next. Stay safe and happy. Thanks

On June 21, Rivera told the Associated Press that he was ready to voluntarily depart Fox News and said that the company’s executives had not made a strong effort to keep him.

Later, he revealed that he was thinking about retiring and shared a picture of himself without a shirt.
