On Sunday evening, the ex-president, Donald Trump, utilized the Truth Social platform to express his strong disapproval towards NBC News and MSNBC, while also vowing to initiate investigations into their alleged engagement in acts of treason that pose a threat to the nation.
Both during and after his tenure as President, Donald Trump frequently voiced criticism towards various media organizations, labeling them as the “enemy of the people,” even when they offered him coverage that was positive. Currently, in light of the Trump being confronted with four criminal indictments, his discourse concerning the press that is critical of him has transformed into promises of legal action.
Through his Truth Social media platform, former President Donald Trump issued a warning that he would initiate an investigation into Comcast, the parent company of NBC News and MSNBC, on grounds of alleged “threatening treason.” Furthermore, Trump asserted that Comcast should not be “entitled to use the very valuable Airwaves of the USA” without incurring any associated costs.
The Republican frontrunner raged, “They are almost all dishonest and corrupt, but Comcast, with its one-side and vicious coverage by NBC NEWS, and in particular MSNBC, often and correctly referred to as MSDNC (Democrat National Committee!), should be investigated for its ‘Country Threatening Treason.’”
Subsequently, Trump proceeded to express disapproval towards the two news organizations’ efforts in examining the potential impact exerted by Russia on the 2016 election at the onset of their initial tenure in power. This criticism was accompanied by an assertion that such investigative endeavors constituted a “big campaign contribution” to the Democratic Party’s electoral campaign.
“I say up front, openly, and proudly, that when I WIN the Presidency of the United States, they and others of the LameStream Media will be thoroughly scrutinized for their knowingly dishonest and corrupt coverage of people, things, and events,” Trump promised.
“Why should NBC, or any other of the corrupt & dishonest media companies, be entitled to use the very valuable Airwaves of the USA, FREE? They are a true threat to Democracy and are, in fact, THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! The Fake News Media should pay a high price for what they have done to our once great Country,” Trump asserted in conclusion.
Despite the legal challenges faced by Trump, there exists a plausible scenario wherein he may secure reelection, owing to his significant advantage over other contenders in the Republican primary race and his favorable position vis-à-vis President Joe Biden in recent surveys.
Indeed, Trump weighed in on his big poll jump vs Biden.
“The WAPO has just increased my polling lead over Crooked Joe Biden to 10 Points, from 9. Well, at least they admitted their mistake! This could be the beginning of a giant comeback for what has become known as the LameStream Media. Would also be a Big Day In America!”
On Monday morning, Trump railed against Biden in an early post to his social media account:
“Crooked Joe Biden, who is killing the United Autoworkers with his WEAK stance on China and his ridiculous insistence on All Electric Cars, every one of which will be made in China, saw that I was going to Michigan this week (Wednesday!), so the Fascists in the White House just announced he would go there tomorrow. That was the only way to get him out of the basement and off his lazy a..! He has been a complete disaster for all Autoworkers in the U.S., so much do that with his warped plan & mind, their won’t be any Autoworkers left in 3 years. He is destroying our Country, and likewise, destroying the United Autoworkers. When he slowly walks to pretend he is a “picket,” REMEMBER, HE WANTS TO TAKE YOUR JOBS AWAY AND GIVE THEM TO CHINA AND OTHER FOREIGN COUNTRIES. TURN YOUR BACK ON THIS CORRUPT AND HIGHLY INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT, BY FAR THE WORST IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, AND SHOUT OUT TO YOUR UNION LEADERSHIP TO ENDORSE DONALD J. TRUMP. I WILL KEEP YOUR JOBS AND MAKE YOU RICH!!!”
On Sunday night, Trump bashed election interference.
“Pennsylvania is at it again! The Radical Left Governor, Josh Shapiro, has just announced a switch to Automatic Voter Registration, a disaster for the Election of Republicans, including your favorite President, ME! This is a totally Unconstitutional Act, and must be met harshly by Republican Leadership in Washington and Pennsylvania. Likewise, the RNC, and Ronna McDaniel, must spend their time working on this, instead of meaningless Debates where I am up by more than 50 points. Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, and others, are far more important than “Aida,” Sloppy Chris, Lyin’ Mike Pence, Nikki “Birdbrain” Haley, Ron (“Dead Campaign”) DeSanctimonious, and the others. Start suing now, & get the right lawyers this time! The Pennsylvania Republican Party must likewise not let this happen. It will be a disaster for our Nation, which is being destroyed by these Lunatics, Marxists, & Fascists, whose only real ability is to CHEAT on Elections. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
