Trump Gets Last Laugh With Monumental News Over The Weekend

Since taking his iconic mugshot after his Georgia arrest, Donald Trump’s campaign claims to have earned $7.1 million in donations.

The Trump 2024 campaign for president ascribed the impressive increase to the former American president’s tweet, which featured his own mugshot while soliciting donations to “evict” President Joe Biden.

“I walked into the lion’s den with one simple message on behalf of our entire movement: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER OUR MISSION TO SAVE AMERICA,” Trump wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Thursday.

After that, he requested donations from his fans “to evict” President Joe Biden “during this dark chapter in our nation’s history.”

Trump campaign officials confirmed that they had raised about $20 million over the previous three weeks, which was consistent with the federal indictment in Washington, DC, and the highly publicized mugshot taken in Atlanta.

Fox News was informed by the former president Trump’s staff that a sizeable chunk of the roughly $20 million, or $7.1 million, was pledged after the image was made public.

According to the outlet, the Trump campaign got $4.18 million on Friday, making it the most financially successful day of the whole campaign.

A campaign spokesman told Fox News: “Organic money has skyrocketed, especially after President Trump tweeted out the picture along with the website.”

The sale of goods through their online store appears to have contributed to the increase in fundraising as well.

They began selling goods bearing Trump’s mugshot as soon as he was placed in detention, including shirts, posters, bumper stickers, and more.

Trump made history when, upon his arrest for attempting to rig the Georgia 2020 election results, he became the first former president to stand for a mugshot.

On Thursday, officers at the Fulton County jail in Atlanta arrested the 77-year-old for the fourth time this year and took his fingerprints.

During his earlier arrests in New York City, Miami, and Washington, D.C., he did not have his booking photo taken.

It was the former president’s first tweet since he was suspended from Twitter in January 2021 as a result of the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Trump’s pre-recorded measurements of 6 feet 3 inches and 215 pounds were submitted on the booking paperwork, and as part of the procedure, he was assigned the prisoner identification number P01135809.

He spent just 20 minutes at the notorious jail before being freed after posting 10% of his $200,000 bond.

A recent national poll reveals that Donald Trump is still far ahead of his Republican rivals, despite four arrests, a famous mugshot, and his absence from this week’s GOP debate, in which several of his opponents performed well.

Despite his troubles, the former president leads South Carolina’s Nikki Haley by 34 percent and Ron DeSantis by 27 percent in a survey of potential Republican voters conducted by InsiderAdvantage.

The next candidate was biotech millionaire Vivek Ramaswamy, who recently defeated DeSantis in a survey conducted by DailyMail.com and was widely believed to have won the debate that notably lacked Donald Trump. He only received a 7 percent, placing him fourth.
