Former President Trump blasted into the week by criticizing the Republican Senate leadership for allegedly disregarding the multiple accusations made against Joe Biden along with his immediate family.
Before focusing on senators from his own party, Trump declared, “Joe Biden is the most corrupt President in the history of the United States, which is undeniably proven in the House of Representatives every single day.” He then went on, “But with all of these horrible revelations and facts, why hasn’t Republican ‘leadership’ in the Senate spoken up and rebuked Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats, Fascists, and Marxists for their criminal acts against our Country, some of them against me.”
He questioned with bewilderment “How long does America have to wait for the Senate to ACT?”
Both his engagement in his son Hunter Biden’s many business endeavors and any potential interference with the criminal probe against Hunter have been the subject of investigations against Biden.
Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, two IRS whistleblowers, claim that the Department of Justice’s pressure prevented specific charges from being brought against the president’s son and prevented specific lines of inquiry from being pursued.
Questions have been raised concerning President Biden’s claim that he never discussed his son’s international business endeavors with him in light of messages from Hunter to a business friend in another country in which he threatened to exact his father’s ire if he failed to get his way.
Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader in the Senate, and President Trump have a troubled past together. While the two developed a professional connection while Trump was in the White House, Trump has routinely attacked McConnell ever since he left.
In February 2021, after McConnell reprimanded him over the January 6 Capitol disturbance, Trump proclaimed, “Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again.”
Trump started regularly attacking Elaine Chao, a former member of his Cabinet who is also McConnell’s wife, last year, calling her “China loving wife, Coco Chow.”
Trump railed over the current charges being brought against him by Democrat prosecuters.
“Just think of it! Between Mueller, Deranged Jack Smith, and Congressional Committees, over 100 Million Dollars has been spent investigating me since I came down the escalator in Trump Tower. Biden is a criminal, and almost no money, by comparison, has been spent investigating him. Get smart, Republicans, they are trying to steal the Election from you!” Trump post on Truth Social yesterday.
The former president went on, “Merrick Garland, Deranged Jack Smith, and coordinating Democrat “Prosecutors” in New York and Atlanta, have become the Campaign Managers for the most corrupt and incompetent President in United States history, Joe Biden! Who would have thought this could happen in our once great Country?”
“How many times can Crooked Joe Biden’s DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE, TOGETHER WITH THEIR LOCAL DEMOCRAT D.A.’S & A.G.’S, INDICT HIS POLITICAL OPPONENT DURING THE COURSE OF THE CAMPAIGN? DO THEY UNDERSTAND THE DAMAGE BEING DONE TO AMERICA? IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. WE MUST STOP THESE “MONSTERS” FROM FURTHER DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY!”
“Do you think that A.G. Garland, and Deranged Jack Smith, understand that we are in the middle of a major political campaign for President of the United States? Have they looked at recent poll numbers? Why didn’t they bring these ridiculous charges years before – Why did they wait to bring them NOW – A virtually unheard of scenario? PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT! ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”
“In an announcement on Truth Social on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump revealed that he had been informed he is the subject of an investigation conducted by a grand jury based in Washington. The investigation is centered around the Jan. 6 Capitol incursion and Trump’s role in the events of the day,” according to a Wednesday article by Rachel Emmanuel for The Western Journal.
“The timing of this investigation is not a coincidence. It has been two years since the tumult, and over 1,000 have faced various charges, according to Axios, but not Trump. So why now?” she said, continuing that she thought “the actual motive” for charging Trump now was to use the law to bar him from ever holding the White House — or any elected position — again.
The 14th Amendment’s Section 3 will be used, according to Emmanuel, in “a desperate campaign strategy to keep the former Trump off the ballot in the 2024 election.”
She highlights the Constitutional provision that reads:
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Emmanuel adds that two left-leaning groups, Mi Familia Vota and Free Speech for People, are already working to keep Trump from the ballot in no fewer than five states. They are claiming that the “Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause” should be used as the basis for removing Trump from office after holding him responsible for the disturbance at the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, that they have labeled an “insurrection.”
