President Donald Trump issued a response to Joe Biden’s decision to reverse the border wall policy, subsequent to news indicating that the present administration intends to begin building in the upcoming week.
During his 2020 presidential campaign, Biden engaged in critical discourse on Trump’s border wall.
According to a recent report by NBC News, the Biden administration made the decision to provide waivers for 26 federal regulations in order to facilitate the construction of the border wall in southern Texas.
The decision was made as a result of increasing apprehensions regarding the migrant situation.
The Department of Homeland Security has officially declared that the administration is exercising its authority to waive certain federal laws in order to facilitate the uninterrupted progress of construction activities.

“There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in the notice.
According to a representative from the US Customs and Border Protection, it was observed that Mayorkas had given a waiver in accordance with federal immigration legislation.
“Congress appropriated fiscal year 2019 funds for the construction of border barrier in the Rio Grande Valley, and DHS is required to use those funds for their appropriated purpose,” the CBP spokesperson said.
“CBP remains committed to protecting the nation’s cultural and natural resources and will implement sound environmental practices as part of the project covered by this waiver,” the spokesperson added.
President Biden has consistently criticized former President Trump’s border wall, characterizing it as a fiscal inefficiency and an inadequate measure to address the issue at hand.
In August 2020, President-elect Joe Biden made a statement:
“There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration, number one.”
Upon becoming the president in 2021, Biden issued an executive order that contained the following excerpt:
“It shall be the policy of my administration that no more American taxpayer dollars be diverted to construct a border wall.
Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution. It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security.“
The announcement made by the administration signifies a significant shift in policy.

The White House announced on Thursday its decision to recommence the construction of the wall, citing the appropriation measures previously approved by Congress and the failure of Congress to pass President Biden’s immigration and border initiatives.
On Friday, President Biden addressed reporters.
“I was informed that I was forced to construct the extra wall section.”
Only a few weeks ago, a video emerged from Mexico showing thousands of migrants traveling toward the southern border of the United States on unenclosed train cars.
The footage, which was shared by independent journalist Auden Cabello and Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins, depicts migrants traveling in a crowded train from Mexico to the US border. The migrants are from all over the world.
