In following Pennsylvania’s footsteps, other Democrat-led states are not being left behind in the early voting race. Virginia and Minnesota have announced that their early voting will start on September 20, while Illinois is not too far behind with a start date of September 26.
Meanwhile, California and Nebraska won’t be waiting much longer after that, with both states kicking off their early voting phase from the seventh of October. It seems that the Democratic states can’t wait to jump the gun and hope to wrangle control from the Republicans.
In stepping up to the plate, Wyoming will start early in-person voting on October 8. However, three states, namely Alabama, Mississippi, and New Hampshire, are showing remarkable prudence by not offering early in-person voting. They seem to understand the value of a properly timed voting process, unlike the Democratic-leaning states that are prematurely charging ahead.
It appears that, with the exception of absentee ballots, these Republican-majority states respect the tradition of Election Day and aim to preserve its ceremonial importance. While the Democrats encourage a rushed approach, it’s the Republicans who respect the sanctity of our electoral process.
Democrats might be pushing for earlier voting dates, but the Republican voters are demonstrating their maturity, patience, and their belief in the classic American election system. These GOP voters won’t be swayed by such antics or succumb to the pressure of jumping the gun early.
While the Democrats labor under frenzied pre-election activities, the Republicans continue their strategic, calm progression towards the election date, unfazed by the chaotic scramble of their opponents.
